You may be right, but Christopher was a top-10 high school player in the same class and people at one point thought he'd be a lottery pick. He's a "why the hell not, it's a 20-something pick, let's go for a home run" pick to an extent with the added benefit of him being buddies with Green. Let's face it, we'll be catering to superstars, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. I kind of wanted a Christopher type for the same reason I wanted to gamble on other players that maybe had bad years or weren't used to their best extent... go for a sleeper/home run. I just thought we may be able to get him with a 2nd round pick. Maybe the Rockets didn't.
Christopher had a great game against Villanova at the end of the season. He is young and will be streaky. I think some fun competing with the Green Mamba will be great for team chemistry.
4 rookies is a bit much to add to KPJ, KJM and Tate. I would have preferred to hold on to the one of the picks for Senguin or even trade it to someone for a future asset, similar to Charlotte gave up for 21. Hell, even some future second rounders would be better than a swing for the fence back up guard. Just not a fan of the pick, not necessarily the player.
Wow - that is freakish! I was really down on JC due to his awful shooting splits. Never really saw much of his play, and didn't bother watching because I didn't really want him (due to shooting splits!). My first thought on watching tape today was "for some reason he reminds me of Donovan Mitchell" Obviously I don't think he will be the same level player, but there was something about his game
Morey has gone insane man. Apparently he’s asking for a young stud, multiple 1sts and pick swaps for Ben Simmons. If anyone pays that much for Ben Simmons, they should immediately lose their job.
