I don't want to stash him in Turkey. 8th in the rotation. 12 pts off the bench in his rookie campaign is doable

 

nice pick, Garuba is well liked by a lot of scouts/analyst.

 

yep Hollinger loves him, absolutely great pick at 16, consider the safe stuff we've done in the past in the teens this swinging hard, lots of scouts have done the work and like him, 19 playing at an elite pro level, he can and will get better, i like it

Green + Sengun AND Garuba.

I was Team Mobley but this is absolutely the better outcome. You can make a strong and obvious argument that Sengun was the 2nd best big this draft and we got him for two lottery protected picks.

That is insane. Stone won tonight. Hopefully these guys turn out to reach their potential, you never know, but we didn't lose anything tonight.

If we end up trading Wall tonight somehow or Ego I might start preparing for the 2027 championship parade.

 

Tonight was a great example of that, it doesn't always pan out. Remember in 2018 we traded first round picks with knight with only taxsavings in return. Tonight showed we can learn and get better, good signs and an exciting night. We got summer leaguge opening night against mobley, happy to turn the corner from last year to a new exciting youthful Rockets.

It would have been a major victory to just get 2 of the three...to get all three?

I'm hoping one of Sengun or Garuba doesn't play for us this year, Garuba should probably spend another year in Europe or in the gleague because I'm not sure he sees much time this year.

 

Dream is gonna love working with this kid. He has natural footwork, power, finesse, he is slimy around the goal and has a great nose for rebounds. great touch, and a helluva a passer. I am shocked he lasted to 16, had his last spot Spurs but they wanted Primo???? WOW just wow! This could be the move that haunts the Spurs for YEARS!

I wish they would have paired him with Thor but Garuba and Sengun will add some beef down low we needed.

 

I can’t believe it. I hope the boys stay together and grow together and stay friendly on and off the court with eachother. Hope we can actually grow and stuff. We killed the draft tonight boys. Get some ice cream, you deserve it!
