Those picks can convert to 2nd Rounders if not conveyed under protection.

That’s a big possibility for that Washington pick with WB gone and Beal likely leaving. Cade will improve DET, but that’s so heavily protected, it will still likely take years.

    go with the deep draft

wow, SO much to look forward to next season. Green wasn't a surprise, but this kid and how hell end up with us will be telling. Very excited for this young and upcoming rockets.

and traded for the heavy protected picks. Great work stone!

Not to be a debbie downer, but there's like zero chance this dude will be a diva and try and stay overseas right? On the espn feed, they showed him right before the pick and he looks like he's disappointed-but maybe he thought he was going to OKC?

On NBA Draft.net they say he's similar to Tom Gugliotta. If that's the case, I really am more excited about the Rockets picking him!

But of course I'd rather he be like Paul Gasol, but either way, I like the selection and the package we gave up is fair.

I kinda agree. Maybe we snag Garuba next to make up for it!

sexy ass draft for the Rockets tonight, especially because this trade involved 2 very mediocre future picks from other teams

There's so much talent left, and we've drafted tons of talent already!

He was all over the board. I saw him as high as 8 though. Hard to argue with at 16.

    Agreed....just a shame of a pick

I see passer from above the break as Silas liked playing Olynyk
But I see big, soft, slow just like Olynyk as well. 240 pounder pushed
    around.

I will give him a chance. That's all I can do.

Exactly, it's ridiculous folks say that we gave up two pick to get this pick! We added one pick, because we traded 1st rounder for another. And with all the protections, there is no way to know if the picks will even be available when they are coming up due....

I cant believe the Rockets got this guy at 16. I was hoping they'd trade up to 13 to get him there. To trade 2 useless future 1sts for him...wow.

18 year old MVP. And there's no pressure for him to be NBA ready for a few years. A+ draft so far.
