cmon dont tell me you aint bothered by the change of the ball? i become like a totally different player with the new ball(or the rim or the backboard) sometimes as far as shooting is concerned....
The Molten FIBA ball and a Spalding are pretty different. It flies a bit differently when you shoot and feels a lot different in the hand. Took a couple of months to get used to the Molten when they made the switch in rec leagues down here in Australia, but I can't imagine it would take that long for professionals. Funnily enough after a few years of Molten we're back to Spalding, and they are running with Wilson in the Australian NBL. Will be interesting to see if the NBA guys have issues with the new Wilson NBA ball next season.
actually it might be harder for professionals because they are more accustomed to it than youll ever be
The Molten ball sucks - it definitely has a slightly different "feel" to the Spalding ball. However, the one thing about the Molten ball is that, after using a Wilson or a Spalding, the Molten is a lot EASIER to shoot. Unless it is overinflated - which is surely not possible to happen under international competition? Not sure the excuses fly....
Did some gugling, apparently Molten corporation is headquartered in Japan. Olympics, hosting country, let's just say deals were made. Seriously though, team USA can't be blaming no future defeats on the ball. Adapt.
Officiating really is not this big issue that the NBA and many fans online try to sell us. Campazzo just went to the basket and they saw he tried to hook the defender, immediate offensive foul as he tried to get the advantage (also by flopping afterwards to try to get the defensive foul, which is probably the NBA effect).
fwiw: There are two conditions of carrying that must be met — hand under the ball *AND* another condition, quote: A player who is dribbling may not put any part of his hand under the ball and (1) carry it from one point to another or (2) bring it to a pause and then continue to dribble again. Basically, they are looking for hand under the ball plus using that for gaining an unfair advantage. For instance, irrelevant palming as you’re bringing it up court doesn’t meet those two criteria. Or, any time you get hand under the ball but don’t carry it from one point to another but rather just dribble within same location again (unless you “bring to a pause”)
Why is Llull not starting? I thought he was the point god of Spain. Ricky freaking Rubio shot 5/6 from 3 scoring 26 pts. It must be the ball.
theres a ton of ambiguity right there it all depends of interpretations eg what does 'bring it to a pause' mean? plus the unfair advantage is another ambiguity... can i also step out of bounds if nobodys around me cause i gain no unfair advantage?
