Everybody pretty much knew who Detroit was going to pick, but the Rockets are a different story. Is it Green? Is it Mobley? Is it Suggs? Who we pick will have a cascading effect on the rest of the draft.

Can I borrow your crystal ball? You must be looking years into the future to make such a definitive statement. Unless you're operating under the assumption that 19-year-olds enter the league fully-formed. I'd be stoked to have either guy on our team, as I think they're both going to become great players. I think Mobley could be a unicorn with his length and intelligence and feel for the game, and if he fills out his arsenal of scoring weapons, he'll be a real world-beater. But I think Green is a great scorer who will only get even better and has the chance to be a legit number 1 option on a successful team. He seems eager to learn and improve -- surrounded by other talented players, I see no reason to believe he couldn't become a solid playmaker and elevate his teammates. I mean, compare Harden from Year 2-3 to Year 5-6 to see how a scorer can grow in that regard. And I think he has the physical assets to become a positive defender, if he puts in work & takes accountability. Point is, you should be cheering for whomever we draft and trusting that the FO made the right decision until proven otherwise. It's fine to have a preference, but saying one guy's going to be a failure just make you look like a petty hater.
Part of me was hoping that was a trick to lure Detroit into picking Green (putting down the crack pipe now)
It took Lebron (aka, the GOAT) 3 years to get his team to the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference averaging 20/5/5 as a rookie. I think if it took Lebron 3 years, we can afford to cut 19yr old Green a little slack for at the very least 3-4 years.
