I like to be in my garage or in my driveway near the garage. Some fans, music, beverages, games, and good times. I don't like being surrounded by walls and I don't mind sweating.

I just can't get around leaving my cars outside all the time. I have 3 cars. One is a lowrider. I used to park my car outside while the lowrider and my wife parked in the garage. Then, with this crazy weather, a hail storm came and totaled the car (it was a 2008 Honda fit in like 2019, but they didn't repair it due to cost). Now, I get PTSD anytime I see a black cloud. Moved the lowrider to storage and now we both park inside.

I have a gameroom upstairs WITH AC that I use to get away from the wife and kids if I need to. I watched my Bearkats win the FCS NC up there by myself a few months ago. I have no desire to sit in the garage like...ever.

Those of you that hang out in your garages....do you keep your car(s) in the garage? I don't really understand the allure to keep a couple of 10K to 20K hunks of metal with wheels anywhere except the locked garage.

Well, the hunks of metal are literally made to be outside. Do you find a garage when you go to the grocery store?

I personally don’t hang out in my garage to drink, watch sports or “relax”. I have one of my cars in there and the rest is for wood working and my tools and work benches. I thoroughly enjoy being out there regardless if it’s 30 or 100 outside. It’s a place to tinker and build things. I’ve had many friends and even some family that use their garages as a party place to smoke and drink. Mostly because they don’t have a covered patio of any sort.

Now the patio, I’ll spend many nights out there with the wife and sometimes kids if they are still awake (they are both still quite young), regardless how hot it is. Watching the Astros, Rockets or whatever while having a beer, grilling/smoking on the pit is the shizzle. Now if it’s 30 degrees, we won’t be on the patio.

    Cars are on driveway.
Smoke gets in house if in inside.

I was in Willis at in laws and noticed a lot of country folk like to sit outside. They have fire pits going even in hot ass summer. Lots of beer. With the heat and mosquitos I don't get it

I'm in the same setup but added a cutout for a window A/C. That with a fridge for beer will make your life a hell of a lot easier.

Haha, man, I wouldn't blame you. I'm glad it's detached, rodents are a pita to deal with.

Right outside garage. I was surprised how many did this. I think maybe they don't turn on ac and it's a money saver?

Get a fire-pit. That's my safe space during the winter.

That with the screen to keep the mosquitoes out and a little ac unit/ fan would be awesome.
