Maybe you can argue they should have vetted him better, but I don't think it's reasonable to think they could have known he was such an awful person.

Deshaun never demanded a trade, he requested a trade. Also, he never said he would hold out if the Texans were unwilling to trade him. If Watson is eligible to play, Texans should treat him like their #1 QB and not have him do positional stuff as punishment. That's just not smart and not in the best interests of the Texans' short and long-term goals...especially if you want to trade him soon and get max value. They need to quit the BS with the weird Patriot Way 'everyone has to earn their spot' foolishness.
