23 + 24 + 2024 FRP + Wall + House for Simmons + 2 SRP. Porter Green Tate Simmons Wood Bench: Olynyk (re-signed), Augustin, Khyri, Snipa, KJ, Wisekamp (SRP), Greg Brown/Herb Jones (SRP), Onu (2 way)
Totally out there ideas: A. #2 for #6 and SGA B. #6 and EGO for #13 Turner and future pick C. #24 and Wall for Herro, Dragic, Iguodala Picking #13 and #23 to backup KPJ SGA Tate Wood Turner 2 potential stars 2 fringe stars 1 hustler Bench: Augustin, KMJ, House, 2 firsts, MLE, etc, expirings that potentially create a lot of space? Olynyk - or SnT for assets? (Could be worse!)
At that point, though, we've turned the Rockets into a .500 basketball team, which is exactly where we don't want to be. Better to be terrible and accumulate assets through the draft than to deal your assets for borderline stars and become mediocre.
After the postseason Simmons had, it's hilarious to me that Philly thinks they can get a return similar to what Houston got for Harden. I'm not even sure I see Simmons as a huge positive asset given his contract and inability to score outside of the paint. I could get behind a deal like this because Houston would dump Wall in the process, but if Morey is serious, there's no way they take a trade like this. Then again, no sane GM is going to offer the kind of package Philly is requesting.
I just want the Rockets to use all the players and mediocre picks they have to get another lottery/top 10 pick, we should just hunt for talent/upside now. I also read some of you guys suggesting moving Wood for a top pick, that would be good but i wonder how possible that can be, Raptors and Warriors are both teams trying to compete and/or without a center (Warriors might move Wiseman for Beal maybe), who knows how much they value Wood though.
Giving up that in order to get Kispert or Franz Wagner will be foolish and a big mistake. It's better to try and acquire the 27th and the 44th picks from the Nets for the 24th pick.
That would be amazing for us. The Jazz will almost certainly refuse that offer. I do like your out of the box thinking.
Perhaps, you should ask the hot Venezuelan ex-basketball player to help you make the picks. Your rehabilitation will certainly get better!
I’m good with it. Question on Simmons though, I thought he didn’t want to come here last year? Just unsure why he would now. I also probably wait to see who’s on the board at 23/24. If Kai Jones falls somehow, I may have to back out.
This would hurt, and doubt the Hawks will bite.. Avery Bradley, Danuel House, Jae'Sean Tate, 23, 24 for Kriss Dunn, Cam Reddish, 20. Play Cam at the 4 like a poor man's Jayson Tatum.
