Graveman is definitely worth what we gave up but let's pump the breaks a little. The guy has a tiny sample size as a reliever. He's been a solid back of the rotation starter most of his career and has only 30 innings this season. 30 innings made Mike Fiers into Bob Gibson... Pressly is still far more proven and i see him holding onto closing duties if he's fresh...
2020 was a tough season for the Stros. This was the only Verlander post for the Stros in 2020: The report that I’m currently missing the rest of the season is not accurate. There is a forearm strain... I’m hopeful that with some rest it will heal and I’ll be able to return soon. Thank you for all the well wishes.
No. A player has to be traded or placed on waivers within 7 days of DFA. A player only gets off the 40-man roster if he clears waivers.
Gotcha, didn't realize he didn't clear waivers after they DFA'd him. Glad you're here to keep me in line.
Ha! The guy will be hitting 40 hrs in a few years. I would have kept him for Correa insurance. Move breg to ss
I think that is the wrong way to look at it. ITS A GAMBLE. I we get to or especially if we win a WS Title, no one will care who we gave up to get there. If somehow we don't at least get to the ALCS and win the division, then yea. Everyone will be mad. And a thinned out farm will make them even more mad. But if you want a shot at the former, you have to be prepared to experience the later also.
I think Kendall Graveman is more Dominant than Ryan Pressly. Fastball Sinker Slider His Sinker and Slider is Wicked Nasty.
Sucks to let Toro go but the Astros already have cornerstone pieces at the positions Toro plays so he would be a redundant piece and this team really needs bullpen depth because outside of Pressly, there really is no one that is consistently reliable.
