So we have one of the top bullpens in baseball now.

And it cost us Abraham Toro and Bryan De La Cruz.

    Click Click… boom

I will no longer call the man James "Purpura" Click. He wasn't afraid to pull the trigger on a fewtrades and bring some help in. Well done so far.

Yea these two moves by Click were legit

If we pick up a CF or a stud utility type that will be great, or a true ace...but if he does nothing else, we have solidified our one weakness and haven't touched any of the young pitching or Leon/Lee

    Well done

    Rotation

    Valdez/McCullers/Garcia/Greinke/Urquidy/Odorizzi

    Bullpen
    Pressly/Graveman/Garcia/Javier/Stanek/ Taylor (Baez? James? Scrubb?)

So the Astros have depth in their rotation... can run six starters out there, and in the bullpen they can close out important games with Garcia/Graveman/Pressly and when needed Javier and Stanek and Taylor can give quality innings.

While there isn't a Cy Young type performer on the staff and there isn't a Mariano Rivera...... the Astros depth of "very good" pitchers is very impressive, probably the best in baseball.

I'm not the biggest Graveman and Yimi fan, but these trades have been better than most I've seen in this thread. Very low cost. I still think the Astros have the ammunition for at least one more trade as they haven't traded a top commodity yet.

I would consider anything we get out of Baez to be a luxury at this point. Same with James, who has the potential to be better than Baez anyway

Just told that they are still looking at bats and also more pitching. They are not done if they can get players they want at a solid price. They also would be willing to move one of their young middle of the rotation pitchers for an ace that is expiring, but they would want more coming back than just a rental ace.

Also the Astros were a finalist for the Marlins centerfielder but the A's offered up more than the Astros were comfortable with.

So far the moves have been low risk for the Astros (Toro and De la Cruz) but will risk more in a deal for something worth it.

I have been critical of Click for doing little, but from what I am being told he hasn't blinked or fretted being aggressive... he has made offers and moves.

In his career, 48 walks in 211 innings for Yimi Garcia. One of the weak points of our bullpen has been walks, we get a player who doesn't walk people. Another A+ move. Boston Red Sox wanted Garcia too.

Click has gotten an 8/9 reliever and a 6/7 reliever for Toro and a AAA guy who nobody wanted in the Rule 5 last time, and would have been eligible again this year and more likely to be taken.

I'd say that's pretty ****ing good, given needs and constraints.
