Giannis is very skilled...at injuring other players.

    No this is 100% wrong.

Just watching highlights is not near enough to tell you the story.
Giannis is NOWHERE near what he was when drafted and no the only difference is not him getting taller bigger and stronger.
Because he was still a freak even a smaller freak he could pull off blocks , drives and highlights that are reminiscent of now but..in the course of a game?
The difference is night and day!

The first 2 years in the league he had no clue what he was doing in offense or defense.

Giannis not just in the first but also in the second and most of his third year in the league had no clue about defensive rotations, coverages, organized offense , weak side etc etc.

And that wasn't just a byproduct of him getting fewer minutes and opportunities from Drew and Kidd.
We had him in the first two years in the NT.
Boy oh boy..the older generation ie Spanoulis that you know, were pulling off the hair that was left on their heads with how completely clueless he was.

It took him two years to learn the basics of organized offense and defence, besides transforming his body and growing taller.
The third year he improved in help defence and driving. Now he could consistently drive and spin all game long.
The fourth year was the ballhandling and improvement in playmaking

The fifth year was when he became a defensive beast as help defender.

Anyway he has added a ton of things in his game and to say the majority of his success is just transforming his body is extremely false.
If he had just transformed his body the way he was not skilled and knowledgable in his first years he would be out of the league now.

Thanks for laying out his journey.

While air balling free throws still look goofy or his 3 pt release.

He does not really care about that.

He is not looking like the Rock or any body builder, not even Dwight Howard, he is pretty lean still.

He was finally able to afford three meals per day, to hear him tell it, only being one of the highest paid professionals in Europe prior to the draft

Funny how media members acted like giannis had a loser mindset when he answered "I don't know if things will be different this year or not, we'll see" when asked if they would lose to the heat again.

Mans didn't just want to drop some prideful bravado and guarantee a win.

Funny but no. It's not intentional. It's just positioning himself for a possible rebound. He's more of a PF/C sometimes. If it's really dirty, Kyrie or some players would have spoken about it, not some keyboard warriors. Well you're entitled to your own opinion but the fact is you had conveniently discounted that 50 points that he did (and some others). Middleton is just a Robin to the real Batman. In the first place that what we're talking of.

Exactly -- excellent point. We know who the "dirty" players or plays are, because NBA players who are on the court when those plays happen are not shy about speaking their mind about it.

If you can't beat them, hurt them - Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis intentionally injured Kyrie so the Bucks could get past the Nets. That’s what happened...but the media won’t touch it. There is a clear pattern of Giannis sticking his feet in player's landing zone. Slow the video down and you’ll see how far Giannis had to slide his foot to get under Kyrie. You have to be willfully blind to not see it. He made no play on the ball… and instead shoved Kyrie as he slid his foot under him.

Why won’t players call him out for his dirty play? Because they know they risk the wrath of the league and media if they do. Giannis is a protected player like Steph Curry and Lebron..you can’t talk bad about them or risk your career. Players won’t say how they really feel. You can talk about Patrick Beverly being a dirty player all day...he’s Patrick Beverly. But if you talk about one of the NBA’s golden children you’re in trouble.

Once he intentionally injured Kyrie Irving everything after that has an asterisk on it….including his referee assisted 50pt game. 19 free throws? Most of those calls should have been offensive fouls on Giannis..but he gets away with it. If Giannis was officiated properly he’d foul out so fast. Dirtiest player in the league..IMO!

So where's your argument that Khris Middleton should be the MVP instead of Giannis? Again, no players were complaining. I guess you didn't see the 90s.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
