In the last 10 games? lol congrats. He is not a winning player and Lamelo and Hali are far better, it’s not close. It was a mistake to take him #1 which was the point I was making last year. Now proven unequivocally true. Yeah I liked Morris over Leonard. Clutch liked Harold Miner over Robert Horry. Go pick his ass instead MrButtocks.
In his last 30 games Edwards averaged 23/5/3.5/1.4 steals on 45/34 splits. Not bad for a 19 year old. The Wolves were 13-17 during that span which you might think is horrible, but to say he only puts up empty stats is just being stubbornly adherent to your original opinion. Did you expect a teenager to drag a historically horrible franchise to the playoffs or something?
Right?!! Green is a basketball caveman and still put up 18 PPG on 61 TS% against Grown men. What a prospect!!!
He literally averaged less than 3 assists and you consider that "picking the defense apart?" He's hardly Jokic...
Green's greatest asset at the moment is his drive and mentality. All reports seem to indicate that he has incredible confidence, work ethic and drive to win, and at the end of the day that should be what is most important.
Not really the point I was making. I'm simply stating that right now, Mobley is not "picking apart defenses" and some master playmaker. He's a big who can pass, not some playmaking savant.
Do you consider dragging ass down the court a mistake? How about getting pushed off the block by bigger guys? Or just more things that HE will be able to grow into, but the other prospects with warts will have harder times? I prefer to have a guy make mistakes at full speed vs a guy who picks and chooses when to play hard. There is no alternative quite like having NBA players coach you and then to be surrounded by NBA players as you practice and play its too bad that it was such a shortened Covid bubble season. You dont get that playing with amateurs in college. Jalen Green decided to begin his professional career and has been slandered for it. If he would have gone to Memphis and scored 30 a game this convo would be about who to take between Cade Cunningham and Evan Mobley.
Why was Mobleys rebound rate so low? LIke the lowest among the top big man prospects over the last 5 years. I think you'll say it was his brother and some unknown force, but I could be wrong.
https://www.si.com/nba/2021/07/28/n...umors-cade-cunningham-jalen-green-evan-mobley 2. Rockets: Jalen Green, SG, G League Ignite Height: 6' 5" | Weight: 185 | Age: 19 | Freshman No surprise here, but league sources view Green as an essential lock to Houston at No. 2. He worked out for the Rockets this week, and a mutual comfort level appears to have formed between them. Houston explored trading the pick, but settled on Green, who was also the only projected top pick to work out for the Rockets, which expedited the matchmaking process. Another notable tidbit: sources say Green has built a friendship with Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr., dating back to their time in the G League bubble, which should inspire at least some level of confidence that their similar styles of play can coexist. Green has major upside as a scorer, and has been viewed as the Rockets’ preferred choice dating back to lottery night.
once Jalen Green blows up and gets a signature shoe with Adidas, it better look nice and come equipped with Boost tech and not the BS they give Lillard and Donovan Mitchell
Is that Rod Strickland next to him?? If so, legit offensive thread confirmed. Strickland was so good.
Rod Strickland sighting. Curious what guys like him think of Green. Seems they are all on his bandwagon including vets that played with him in the G League, like Bobby Brown. Brian Shaw is the coach and should be a wealth of knowledge on Jalen Green's potential as a scorer as well as work ethic, game prep, etc.
