This is one of my favorite trade stories: Joel Youngblood was playing a day game against the Cubs in '82, singled in his 1st AB, then in the 3rd inning he got pulled and told he'd been traded to Montreal, who was playing that night and was short of players due to injury, so they wanted him to fly straight to Philly and play. He gets there in the 7th inning and is pretty much immediately put in to PH, and he singles. Only player in MLB history to get hits for 2 teams on the same day (both were off HOFers too, Fergie Jenkins and Steve Carlton). Read this, the whole story is pretty great: https://www.mlb.com/news/joel-youngblood-two-hits-for-two-teams Back in 1922 2 guys were traded for each other between games of a doubleheader. Those are the only 3 players to play for 2 teams in the same day. https://baseballworldbjt.com/2019/1...day-on-may-30-1922-the-st-louis-cardinals-we/
