This is absolutely great scouting report and makes me feel better if we do indeed take Green. Still favor Cade or Mobley because I think they are both more sure fire and better fits.
Andy Enfield Coaching Experience originally started as a businessman. 1994 - NBA Shooting consultant (MIL/BOS) and for Florida St in NCAA Years Undisclosed - Assistant coach for Florida St 2011 - Head Coach Florida Gulf Coast University 2013- Present - Head Coach USC Brian Shaw COACHING experience (after 14 years as a player): 2003-2011 - Scout, Assistant Coach LA LAKERS 2011-2013 - Assistant Coach INDIANA PACERS 2014-2015 - Head Coach DENVER NUGGETS 2016-2019 - Associate Head Coach LA LAKERS Interesting to be concerned with Jalen Greens coaching and not Evan Mobleys. That is a new twist!
So apparently, FBI twitter agents have concluded Green is on Tilman’s jet. Map shows Houston to New York route.
...he definitely has the biggest draw for persuading Rockets fans to come to spend money to watch a bad team with a potentially budding star ______
He’s a terrible defender. Recognizing that and trying to improve it is a good thing. Thinking he can be an all defensive team player is delusional, that’s all I’m saying, I’m not “knocking” him for it. Also comparing himself to Kobe is delusional. Seems to be a trend. The reason I don’t like him I’ve already stated, the biggest reason is that I’m a Rockets fans and don’t want my team to waste an once in a generational opportunity on a player that’s not very good. But like I said, from a marketability stand point and hopefully future trade value perspective the pick is fine. Even at worst he will be a 15ppg guy that would retain some trade value so his floor is pretty high. I’m just not going to delude myself thinking he will be taking the Rockets anywhere in terms of winning.
I haven't seen where he compared himself to Kobe. I've seen where he said that's who he has wanted to emulate and he has studied Kobe, but I've not seen him say that he's like Kobe. But you know, when Kobe was young he was not thought to be a generational talent and he looked at Michael for inspiration. Great players don't become great players by striving to be "ok". I'm not sure what exactly you are getting at here... You want players to want to be all time greats. You want your players to recognize their weaknesses and turn it into their strengths. You seem to be so disillusioned by this whole process and the back and forth debate that you are now turning positives into negatives. A guy who recognizes that he is not good in an area and then claiming he wants to be great in that area is a good thing. Probably every person that became great at something because they believed they could accomplish what no one else thought they could were probably called "delusional" by someone like yourself. The fact that you aren't recognizing your own absurdity of calling a 19 year old delusional for wanting to be one of the best at something is the delusion.
the odds aren't exactly in his favor. In the 44 years since the NBA started naming an annual All-Defensive Team, no rookie has ever been chosen as part of the first team. And only 5 have made it to the 2nd team. and 1 of them should be obvious to this board
