Seems like its really coming to an end I was really hoping for a miracle that we'd be able to keep Deshaun around but the previous regime screwed that up with all the horrible signings and trades along with the owner who didn't care for his franchise qb's opinion. Now here we are on the verge of more years of being the laughingstock of the league. We had one job and that was to keep Deshaun happy, he was one of those once in a decade type of qbs but in typical Texan fashion we screwed it up. Heres to more sucking
To Watson's credit, he hasn't sexually assaulted anyone in months, his longest steak in years. Hopefully his restraint builds his trade value.
It makes so little sense to trade him now without knowing where the picks will be in next year's draft. They should hold off until the legal stuff is sorted out and draft positions are known. Easier said than done, but why acquiesce to Team Watson's demands now?
If the Texans won't back down from the high asking price, then they themselves have to pretend nothing is wrong by allowing Watson to take every snap in training camp to assure the other teams that nothing is indeed wrong. Otherwise there is no way you're getting 3 first rounders or 2 first rounders and a second. If the Texans can get someone to bid on their high price, Caserio deserves GM of the year before the season even starts.
Finally, the Texans are finally doing something right and moving on from this nightmare. Just feel like it'll be a Texans tradition of getting **** for gold.
I find it a little ridiculous that in light of all of the legal, serious developments against Watson over the last several months, he still has the hubris to say "This franchise isn't good enough for me, I want out." I don't know, maybe just keep a low profile and show up for work? Humility is a lost trait.
Right...... plus who knows how many other women he will fondle on and around the sidelines. The Texans need to keep him AWAY from anything sponsored by or associated with the organization.
