Maybe you should back up YOUR shet.

You know I have posted a ton of Mobley analysis, get off your ass and find it in the archives.

Woj says Mobley will have INSTANT impact in NBA.

Perk says Mobley ready to start for Cavs right NOW.

Schmitz says Mobley defense will help NBA team IMMEDIATELY.

    https://cavstheblog.com/?p=59212

Defensively, Mobley has a unique knack for blocks and had some hair-raising rejections. In addition, Evan has the athleticism to guard out on the perimeter well in a switch scenario. There’s a lot to like in Mobley’s game and while his potential gets NBA scouts extremely excited, the baseline of skills can immediately also help an NBA team win.

I see Mobley being a guy that can start at the 4 or 5 and will never get played off the floor due to his ability to guard the perimeter and the rim quite effectively.

One last Mobley stat that I found interesting was this little tidbit from Dean on Draft (Dean is extremely high on Mobley and has pushed for him to be the best player of the class):

BPM is just one data point and while I still have Cade ahead of Mobley (but maybe slightly less after putting this piece together), this does bring up an interesting point. Maybe there is a stronger argument for Mobley to be considered a top talent in this draft. Maybe he is closer to Cade than the consensus.

“There’s no ceiling with his development. He could be anything. He could be KD. He could be Giannis,” Udo-Ema said, referencing NBA stars Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo. “He could be a mix. Who knows what he’s going to develop into, depending on where he goes and who’s coaching him. But he really is a blank canvas.”

    Thanks for posting those things.

The last bit is what I'm referring to though, most people are talking about his potential not really his instanct impact. "Blank Canvas" is like the opposite of instant impact right? Blank Canvas means you dont know what he will become and if you dont know what he will become you cant project what impact he will do immediately. It's def interesting both Mike Schmidtz and Woj think he will make an instant impact. However looking at his frame and shot it's really hard for me to see him make the instant impact y'all are expecting.

    I guess we'll see.

Btw are you still picking Mobley even if he refused workouts and submitting physical results to the Rockets?

Blank canvas is more about his offense. And that was a QUOTE from his AAU coach.

Wait so you'll still take him without any workouts and physicals? What if he has some hidden red flags ala Greg Oden?

Oden was a generational big who could have been as KD if it werent for his injuries.

    I think you're misremembering.

Greg Oden was a freak run jump athlete playing basketball.

Kevin Durant was a freak basketball player with freakish proportions.

Just like Mobley, Durant was skinny.

But like Durant, Mobley is freak basketball player with freakish proportions.

Durant at almost 7 feet tall had elite offensive talent with defensive upside.

Mobley at 7 feet tall is elite defensively with unique offensive upside.

In comparison, 7'0 250 Oden was raw offensively, could not create for anyone including himself.

He also did not have great BBIQ.

Mobley's BBIQ is off the charts.

Regardless what you think about Oden the fact remains injuries destroyed his potential and Portland made the generational mistake ignoring all the red flags found in his physical.

Are you still gonna take Mobley given he doesnt want to show his physical and work out for the Rockets?

Oden had 2 pins in his hip and one leg shorter than the other.

These injuries were KNOWN by Portland and all interested NBA teams.

Mobley has no such injury concerns or physical defects.

You are pulling this SHET out of your ass via your mouth.

    Stop with this BS.

There are legit concerns for every prospect why must you make shyte up????

Do your own due diligence and you won't have to make crap up.

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...was-blessing-greg-oden-headed-back-ohio-state

Oden explains that when he was in sixth grade, he grew so volcanically -- 6 inches in less than a year -- that his right hip detached from its socket. After surgery to place two pins in the joint, Oden enjoyed swinging his gangly legs on crutches down the hallways at school. But though the procedure worked, it left his right leg 8 millimeters shorter than his left. He walked with a bit of a dip, leaving people to assume that he was strutting, acting hard. Over time, his body adjusted, but the hip required the occasional heavy tug when it jammed.

After Oden was drafted first overall by the Trail Blazers in 2007, one pick ahead of Kevin Durant, the team outfitted him with a special orthotic insert to even his legs. "Three weeks later, I'm in surgery," he says. Oden can't prove that the orthotic is the sole reason his body collapsed in the NBA.

Before all the noise of past 3 weeks, Mobley was the clear consensus #2 pick.

It was almost five years ago – January 2016 – that Kevin Durant, then with the Thunder, coined the NBA expression “unicorn” while speaking to the New York media about Kristaps Porzingis, then with the Knicks.

The quickest definition of an NBA unicorn is essentially this:

    a 7-footer with a guard’s skillset.

But it’s more than that. A true NBA unicorn – like Durant himself – makes you stop and say:

    ‘I can’t BELIEVE a 7-footer is doing that!’

Mobley is also a very good passer – from the post, the perimeter or on the outlet – using not only his size, but his basketball IQ and instincts.

Defensively, he has a chance to be a true NBA difference-maker in the NBA. He’s got the quickness and the footwork to stick with smaller players on the perimeter and is obviously a shot-eraser around the rim. He’s a lethal shot-blocker with both hands and does so without getting into foul trouble.

And in terms of the modern-day center, Mobley is essentially the prototype.

I actually love this video on Jalen Green! To me it's not a hype builder. Actually ,it solidifies my Mobley stance that he should be the pick.
I mean would you pick Jeremy Lamb or the other guy they say Green more likely compares to at #2. I'm sticking to my comps on Jaylen Green.
Everything game I'm watch I see Jamal Crawford on the high end, but with all the "Next Kobe" hype salemanship I hope he doesn't end up being the next Harold Miner.
