Please explain to me the allure of sitting in your garage when it's 95 degrees

    I even bought a rug from Ikea it ties the garage nicely. With garage closed..the trees for shade and south facing garage it rarely gets above 85 in here

    Having an East Facing garage, it is much cooler in the evening. Once the fan is turned on it becomes more relaxing than the west facing back porch. It also allows me to stare at the dog walkers to ensure they pick their poop and tell the kids to stay the hell off my lawn.

    Most always there's a breeze so porches when it's hot (screened if needed), fans on as needed, outside under the trees when it's not mosquito-ey.

    Garages are a place to attach your carport to and set up as an extra workshop and storage for equipment.

    More than likely I’ve been working out in the sun on the lawn/car, so the garage is a cooler place to wind down for a while instead of going in the frigid house. I have a 4-car detached garage so the breeze is nice with fan and the widows/door open

    You think it’s hot in the house? Try going outside for a few minutes, you’ll realize it’s freezing in here.
