most likely nothing, since the Rockets don't own the 1st or 3rd pick. Cade is expected to be pick first and Rockets are expected to pick Green.

I'd want a future top 5 pick and more

So highly unlikely we or the Cavs or Pistons make the trade.

Unless a top 5 pick is promised in the future. And that's hard to promise as they might not own one.

If OKC comes knocking, I’m not answering.

too many people on here are obsessed with quantity over quality when it comes to picks…

The goal in getting a bunch of picks is to trade up to a top pick.

Rockets skipped to the head of the line and have a top pick. Stay put and get your guy.

I’d ask for a MASSIVE amount and settle for an enormous amount of their picks including the return of all ours plus plus plus.

If they’re willing to do that… you have to listen l.

You could always turn around and send a lot of that to Cleveland for the #3 (effectively getting your picks back from OKC, send the extra to Cleveland flipping he 6 to the 3).

    random:
HOU: trades 2 for 3, receives their own picks owed to OKC back.
OKC: trades 6, the icons they have from HOU and say 2 extra first round picks to move from 6 to 2
CLE: trades from 3 to 6 but picks up 2 extra first round picks that OKC owns.

whether any of the teams do this depends on which extra picks OKC wound depart with. I’d guess they’d be resistant already giving HOU their picks back parting with much more. I’d bet Cleveland would be resistant without getting decent picks back. And I’d be HOU would be resistant moving beyond #3 and without getting at least something extra.

and if you could get past all that OKC wound have to be really focused on the player they couldn’t get at #3 otherwise why not just do a deal straight up with Cleveland at #3 giving less in return??

In other words… pretty hard to see something getting done… but hearing about it is interesting.

Hawks traded down from 3 to 5 for a single top 5 protected pick…however, in that draft, there was at least still a Trae Young available at 5

in this draft, u could be looking at the likes of Kuminga or Bouknight at 6 after trading down…I’m good on that

[Givony] Cunningham's standing in Detroit has strengthened throughout the pre-draft process to the point that it would be extremely surprising if the Pistons did anything but pick him No. 1. Ownership and the front office are on the same page. https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/st...-draft-top-players-jockeying-lottery-position

Also not a secret is the Rockets likely picking Green, to the point Mobley & Suggs have not even worked out for the team. OKC isn't calling the Rockets to trade if they want Cade or Mobley.

I'd keep the pick and draft Green. The Rockets are very fortunate to be able to draft a player who may very well be a generational talent -- all in our first year of rebuild.

I'd rather trade Gordan & 23 to Pacers for their 13 IF the right player falls. Then at 24 take the guy that has the most value.
Got to draft Jalen Green, one of Kai Jones or JT Thor because we need to take a chance on a big somewhere in the draft. then the last pick can be anyone you think has value.
13 could be Moody... I'd move up for him. Maybe take Kai Jones if you had a reason to believe he and JT Thor both won't last to your 23rd.

Green, Moody and Thor would be huge for defensive length and outside shooting, and that is what the Rockets are sorely lacking.

The Thunder beat writer combined with Clutch's tweet about Woj would seem to repudiate that.

Operative word in Woj's & Lowe special is "could" not will or expected or has.

Anything's possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

    I beg your pardon.

As Stone said, he's not locked into any position. Certainly not at this point in the game. There's dialogue taking place. We're in a unique position...It would be irresponsible not to listen/explore our options. Maybe we keep the pick. Perhaps it gets leveraged for the world. After all turnabout is fair play, and I do believe it's OUR turn to stick it to Presti again.

If OKC wants Mobley and the Cavs won’t deal, who else are they going to call?
