Gibson threw 7 strikes and 18 balls and got out of the inning giving up 1 run. That's ****ing hard to do, Astros.
I wonder how many pitchers have walked four and recorded two outs on the first pitch in the same inning. I know it's baseball, and I understand that things sometimes happen and sometimes things don't, but Astros should have come away with multiple runs that inning. Gibson wasn't even close on a handful of pitches.
On the flip side, Tucker likely zeroed in on one pitch, in one location, and if he got it… he’d swing. Just didn’t do enough with it. Goal is still to swing at hittable strikes, even if the pitcher has no clue where its going.
