War does have rules in a civilized society, or at least it should if we are to hold any moral authority over anyone.

Of course we could wage a war like WWII! Are you kidding, a war which was declared on America and brought home with a massive attack by a soverign nation on American assets on American soil? That is just the kind of fight that EVERYONE in America WOULD support.

That is also the problem with this war. It is turning out that it did not have to be fought, at least not at this time.

There is where you are DEAD wrong. I was fully in support of this administration and the war on terror while it was still being waged in Afghanistan, where the people that attacked us and their cronies were. I was ready to join up and actually told my wife that if they had a draft that I would just go in and sign up so that I could get a techie position. I was on board and gung ho, just like everyone else in America would be if another situation like WWII came up.

This war is an entirely different story, as was Vietnam.
