I can tell you what Lebron did, he took a Lakers team that was 3rd in the division to a 4th place finish. Without AD he led a Lakers team to FOUR more wins than AD's sorry Pelicans team. Together they won a championship. We saw Giannis do incredible things in the finals, but he needed all the help he could get from Jrue and Kris along the way. You build a team, this isn't a solo sport. The truth may get stretched by some, but we need to all respect how nuanced the truth can be. The top teams in the league have a star big (Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, AD) or an elite rim protector type (Capella, Ayton, Gobert). The top non-bigs in league are also pretty big themselves (Luka, Lebron, KD). That's why Cade is so high up. Switch Green and Cade's size and Green is being talked about as a can't-miss generational type and Cade isn't even top 3 anymore. I am team Green, but firmly believe Rockets can't go wrong with either prospect.
The same Lebron that was 34 years old and missed 27 games? The Lakers were the 4th seed when Lebron injured his groin. The Pelicans only won more than 34 games twice being led by AD. All those star bigs u mentioned are averaging 25-30 ppg with ease, and Giannis isn’t a big, he is a wing that dominates the paint. Jokic basically controls the offense like a PG. guys like Capela and Ayton are role players on their team that feed off all the attention that Trae or CP3/Booker demand Gobert just got played off the floor these playoffs
Eric Mobley is a former teammate of Pete Chilcutt, Moochie Norris, Jon Barry, and Roy Rogers. Mobley to Rockets confirmed.
I could see Green being a 25 ppg scorer. Easily. The problem is that there are guys like Lavine and Beal and Westbrook and others who put up amazing numbers but their teams dont win. I think with Green you are just as likely getting that as you might be getting any one of the guys you refer to above. Now I recognize that Mobley has serious questions too. I just have more faith in Mobley putting on weight and making a % or two more 3s than I do green becoming a plus facilitator. Mobley needs to refine some things and improve on whats already there. I think Green will have to re-wire his thinking to a degree given that, up until now, the best shot his team will get on any possession is probably him creating for himself. We could both be right or both be wrong. Regardless, Stone is going to select whoever he likes so our conversation is pretty moot. But its fun discussing it with you.
No I'm just saying the idea that it's a 'guards league' shouldn't be a reason to pass on Mobley at 2 in favor of a guard. AD and Giannis are examples of bigs dominating in the playoffs enroute to a ring.
Who tf is ralph? We are talking about Tracy Mcgrady.... And he played from 1997 to 2012, 15 years exactly minus China...
