Giannis work his butt off even after a big contract. That's something you don't know when drafting a player. Some people changed after getting rich.

Giannis also stayed at a point in which others demand a trade to a big city. Mobley will demand to play in LA as soon as he signs his first big contract.
Jalen is as loyal as kobe. 1 team.

well in that case, Jalen Green will bolt to LA 1st chance he gets because he’s all about the flash and the fashion…he’ll want to be a Laker like Kobe was and play under the bright lights of Staples Center in front of all the celebrities and models getting all the media attention instead of empty Toyota Center

I think there were some trademarks to notice in Giannis: quiet, intense earnestness; no drugs or lavish lifestyle; wanting to provide for his parents; foreign so he doesn’t get sucked into American culture with its many pitfalls. Very similar to Hakeem, honestly.

Might have some of those qualities in Kai Jones.

"Spiderman" spinning a defensive web all over the floor. Elite Team D wins titles.

Mitchell is already the Spider/Spida and wears Spiderman stuff. I know Mobley is book smart, but the Doctor is taken. Even Marcus Camby is the Camby man. Say his name 5 times. Evan Mobley scares no one. He sounds like an accountant. The Accountant.

Name me an al time superstar who didn't have a legendary nickname. The Stilt/Big Dipper. The logo, Cooz/Houdini of the Hardwood, Big O/Mr. Triple Double, Cap, Doctor, Chairman of the Boards/Moses, Big Red, Tiny, Pistol, Magic, Legend, Air, The Glide, DR34M, Admiral, Sir Charles/Round Mound of Rebound/Chuckster, Nique/Human Highlight Film, Zeke, Mailman, Stock, Mt. Mutombo, ZO, Grandmama, Tim Bug, Mully, Miller Time, PIP, The Worm, The Glove, Reign Man, Penny, G-Money/Mr Nice, Shaq Attack/Diesel/Superman/Shaq Fu/Big Aristotle/Shaq Daddy, Big Fundamental, Black Mamba,The Kid/Big Ticket/KG, A.I./The Answer, The Truth, Jesus Shuttlesworth, The Flash, Melo, S.T.A.T., The Great Wall, T-Mac, VC/Vinsanity/Half Man Half Amazing, Spida, The Klaw, Greek Freak/Alphabet, Dame Time, PG13/Playoff P, Brodie, Joker/Big Honey, Slim Reaper/Durantula/Easy Money Sniper/KD, King James, The Brow, Zanos, The Process, Ice Trae, Cool Hand, and many more.

If you don't have a legendary nickname you have to have cool initials or a standout single Name like "Dirk." EMob? EM? Please. Evan? This guys destined to be a basic player.

With time, i could save his career by giving him a proper nickname, but man is he a bore. Ok. Tall. Can't be like the Stilt. Lanky is a no go. Slender Man is taken i believe.

How about "Heaven" Mobley. He's so tall he reaches the heavens.

You forget that Kobe demanded a trade and Jerry Buss refused to cave to his demands.

Actually he was going to the Bulls but Kobe had a NTC and didn't want to go to a stripped down Bulls team. Green Mamba won't force a draft day trade to a top franchise like Kobe, that's why he's actually Michael Jordan with a little big of Von Wafer and a touch of Latrell Sprewell's choke hold, with a sprinkle of Ray Allen

My guilty pleasure players are JT Thor and Jared Butler. If we can snag one of them especially Butler I will be over the moon.

Butler would let us give John Wall the Al Hortford treatment :D

Kobe would have played for Houston if Houston drafted him.

I want Trey Murphy III & JT Thor.

Murphy can be an improved version of Ariza at 6'9" with great handles and arguably the best shooter in this draft - the only one to shoot 50/40/90 last season.

Damn Thriller would be a cool NBA nickname.... For Mobley though, I dont think we need to box him with name based nicknames. We have to bring back the random nicknames like Mailman or Iceman. Since Mobley's calling card, at least early on, will be defense, maybe we can start a defense based name like Concrete or Bulwark or the Fortress. I looked up the parts that protect a rocket and found "Aeroshell" lol. We have to start being more creative with these things. Give me an Aqua Dagger or Tsunami Papi level nickname.

Nicknames are a lot more difficult than it seems. If you don't have a unique first or last name, or you dont have a childhood nickname that follows you through your career, it's hard to get anything to stick. Even Michael Jordan was Mike Jordan, and he was the black cat or worse of all "Captain Marvel" which thankfully MJ himself rejected.

Hey it's 2021, if he can come up with a meme-able moment, we just have to spam Stephen A's twitter mentions with it along with the nickname until he brings it up on TV and maybe it'll stick. I came up with another good one for you. Because of his frame and his ability to keep people from scoring inside: Scarecrow. You can keep going if you let yourself get silly with it. I still love Thriller for green though, I hope that one becomes real.
