Happy for Tucker, you could see the work he was putting in all over the court.

I was like, Yep, that's what Tucker does. The relentless pit bull finally got it, well done.

I've been told Rockets would have won back to back to back to back to back championships if Tilman would have paid Ariza to stay...

Give Ariza 15 million a year

and these super dumb idiots here think that Les was stupid enough to do that if he were here, he would have been gone like Trophies from Houston.

How many people on this board said he can't play 25 minutes for a championship team? That we had to replace him because he wasn't putting up boxscore stats?

    Congrats Tuck.

nah, we would've had a chance to run it back

we could've traded ariza and kept talent

thats the point, we match the salary and nba economics allows us to do someting about it

we don,t we hve nothing. we signed his replacements at minimum, didn't use the MLE. then we traded those minimums or cut it

the odd part is, are you guys tilman only fans or rockets fans? here is a move that hurts the rockets, has no future franchise reprecusions bc its a one year deal, and you guys would rather get worse so logn as te owner saves one year of money? thats the curious part, claim to be rockets fans, but a move that obviously does not benefit us, only benefits the owner, and you guys cheer it on.

get rid of ariza, replace him, we did neither...real basketball fans get it, tilman only fans i guess are happy this guy is laughing on his new yacht while he continues to upgrade rockets tickets prices...odd thing, probably not paying fans i assume or maybe landry's employees? who laughs at something that only saves the owner money and hurst our flexiblity to get better...

PJ left his heart on the floor here in houston. Nothing but respect for the dude who grinded out and boxed out every board, put his body on the line. he embodies the type of role player we want in houston. Enjot that ring PJ, amazizng all these guys we said we couldnt' win with harden, paul, mda, tucker, morey are all pretty damn close o competing for that ring while we reset our culture at the bottom of our league. respect to all of em and those 18 Rockets...PJs a houstonian in my eyes

Stone did PJ a solid sending him to Milwaukee.
Could have sent him anywhere ( especially the way he pouted and moped half the season).

now he’s a champ (before his BFF)

    I’m happy for PJ.

Dude obviously wanted out but he didn’t show up fat and out of shape. He stayed professional and he played hard every night he was on the court.

Ordered my first jersey ever, a Tucker jersey, to celebrate him winning a championship. ****ing insane that he played center for us.

Ariza gave us a chance to run it back? Really? And then magically trade him, you are delusional. Mainly because you now see why Tilman did not pay the man but because it is convenient for you narrative you add that we could have traded him and kept talent. So Rockets are suppose to pay Ariza and then trade him away for who exactly? Most likely nothing..... Keeping Ariza would have been a colossal mistake and could have potentially put us in a slightly worst situation.

You hate Tilman, we get it.... But don't create imaginary scenarios that play perfectly in your head and use them to make stupid ass arguments, they work perfectly in your head where Tilman lives rent free not in real life where your argument fails from every angle...

If you mean resign him to Our New Rockets Team, then the answer is certainly NO!
Too old and not good enough! Just wouldn't fit the new way of life...Y

I don't mind i,t hes done great for himself , but nba economics is different from restaurant chains and we're watching talent leave, staff, front office, and wjust ended the season worst n the league with a terrible reputation, no 1A star would come here bc the par by the other league is only getting more expensive. So I don't get it, you're rooting against the rockets for hte owner? is that any better than what you say about 'harden only' fans as in even putting him above the rockets,

but please explain how keeping him for a one year deal, tradeable at the deadline(it was for kelly oubre by phx, no less who paid for what we didn't then, and now with chris paul. They didn't win but they competed and had an incredible season. . whats the downside? Its a one time payment, no future issues, we have options to trade him, we have an option to run it back and hope paul stays healthy and milwaukee showed as did phoenix that anything can happen.

    "
Former Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul was on the Knuckleheads podcast with Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson and explained the impact of the Rockets losing Ariza.

“People don’t realize, that’s the biggest thing that we missed. That was tough when we lost [Ariza] because he sorta was like the glue. He was that glue for our team.”"
