100%. I also can't tell you how many people I know that have an acoustic hanging on the wall or in the corner that never has been touched. There's something about that first electric that sort of fits you like a glove where you kinda just always want to be fidget playing with it and whatnot. For me that was a strat. The Les Paul I had as my first electric just never felt that way to me. Hopefully that Strat does the trick for you. Be on the lookout on Facebook market for a couple peddles too (recommend Boss Blue Driver, and a decent delay pedal or any type first).

I hope I feel the same way. I had a POS knock off flying V electric guitar in the mid 80's. I traded a bag of grass for it, discovered it sucked and I sucked playing it, before I traded it to some one else for a bigger bag of grass. That was my last electric guitar.

Then I spent decades plucking and strumming on various cheap classical and/or acoustic guitars. A couple years back while traveling I decided to buy a ~$500 yamaha acoustic that sounded good to me and started to play it everyday. Amazingly practice is what makes a difference with regards to my improvement playing. Shocker right?!? haha

I just got a steal on a Spark practice amp from a friend who really liked it but is upgrading. I'm going to practice with that at first and determine what types of effects and pedals I like to play with and then probably get a real amp and some pedals for myself this Christmas if I enjoy playing the Strat.

The video looks like a Wes Anderson film..the song is great. I know I'm late to the party, but I'm really digging Dope Lemon lately.

Third is a difficult listen, not at all like the other two. For me, I have to be in a mood to get through it. Holocaust is a contender for most depressing song ever.

Chris Bell had a solo album called "I Am The Cosmos" that sounds a lot like parts of "#1 Record".

Yes, I am finishing it up and I can see why it has the reputation it has. But I am used to listening to downbeat, depressing stuff.
