    No way we get lillard.
He's looking to join a superteam like the Lakers.

"But the next time Rafael Stone showed up, he took Luca Brasi with him. Within an hour, Portland accepted an offer of the #23 and #24 pick and John Wall. Stone assured Portland's GM that either his brains or his signature...."

EDIT: Anyway, this feels like a distraction. Like "covfefe". Chasing our ass with both hands while someone giggles in his sleeve.

Can’t blame the Rockets for kicking around the tires of a car someone is trying to sell. As long as they don’t do anything stupid, then no harm no foul….

But if the asking price is something that is doable, the Rockets could find themselves in contention as early as this season, with a Lillard on the Roster.

But, you can’t give away more than you got for Harden, that’s just plain lunacy…

Not sure on point 1 Lillard is never going to be on a genuine contender if he is the main cog. He needs to play 2nd fiddle to a Jimmy Butler or Paul George if he is trying to win. Perhaps we can be a 3rd party in getting him there?

    Totally agree point 2!!!

lmao this makes no sense for Lillard or the Rockets.

Lillard is unhappy with Portland because they're not a contender, now imagined how he would react by getting traded to a lottery team?

This makes no sense for us because we should be tanking as hard as possible. Adding Lillard would probably make us a .500 team, maybe a first round exit team at best.

The only way I'd consider this is If we found a way to get Cade.

    Dame
    Tate
    Cade
    Covington
    Wood

    (KPJ/EG/Kelly/KJM/DJA/ETC...)
    Yucky...

The last thing Harden fanbois wanted was Harden to leave and start the rebuild process. Harden fanbois would easily give up the farm to get Harden back if they could. Now that there’s a player of the same caliber available ya’ll want nothing to do with him?

I’m not advocating for Lillard but you Harden fanbois are a funny bunch.

Still too limited defensively to be a legit contender IMO.

    6th seed at best.

If you can get Damian Lillard and Cade Cunningham in one offseason, with say Robert Covington, how can you not at least consider it?

    No to Dame/Cade/Wood???

All the Brooklyn picks to Portland. A couple others to Detroit to land Cade.

    Dame
    Tate
    Cade
    Covington
    Wood
    -
    EG
    Kelly
    KPJ
    KJM

    :D:D:D

Russ and Harden for Dame and Cade is the swap.

You are right MVP caliber players are what is needed. It’s like renting vs ownership. Where one is in life matters, to what makes sense one way or makes more sense the other. I would like to see the team grow into a contender. However, I would still cheer for a group of short term players that make a run.

"multiple front office sources" - hopefully not ours. I know we're exploring all options but doesn't sound like this came from our FO.

Contention? This roster is worse than the Blazers. Unless by contention u mean contention for the play-in?

You think Dame-Tate-Cade-Covington-Wood, with EG/Kelly/KPJ/KJM off the bench is worse than the Blazers?

I respectfully disagree. Contingent on landing Cade and Portland throwing in Covington, I'd cash the Harden picks for Lillard.

You’re right. Lillard stays in shape, doesn’t hang out with lil babies, puts up big time performances when it matters (in the playoffs) and holds a 1-0 lead over Harden in head to head playoff matchups.
