I agree all those guys will hopefully be moved..But we will get contracts back. That will take up roster spots. Also Bradley I think still has value. I expect the Rockets to try trade him for a high 2nd & an expiring(or into cap space) Injury free Bradley is a great 3&D PG which seems to have a high demand in the league. Pelicans / Clippers / Bulls are 3 teams I think should give up a high 2nd for him. But even without Bradley we are at 13 spots. And obviously trade packages could go anyway. Looking at Dallas for example. House & Augustin for Powell & a 1st would be a good trade for both teams. Or maybe Gordon for Powell & Richardson is a good trade. (IE a trade could see us losing more roster spots or gaining roster spots)
Tbh, with them saying Adams is available in NO I'd see if I could send some of our filler and get him. Might not do much on the offensive end but at least we'd have somebody who can rebound and clog the lane on D. I think that's an area we could do with improving regardless who we draft.
That’s an option, but I am more inclined to try and resign Olynyk. I must say I was pleasantly surprised how good he was for the Rockets after the Victor O trade… I was very frustrated at the return for Victor, but Kelly grew on a lot of folks, that’s for sure. I hope he gives the Rockets a chance to play…
I hope Olynyk sticks around. I don't expect him to help make us a contender or anything. He's 30 years old and doesn't fit our rebuild timeline, but he's a veteran that's been on good teams. We need to build somewhat of a winning culture and he seemed to have great chemistry with Wood and KPJ. Like Wall, I think Olynyk can mentor our younger players. We have so few vets. He's never been a star but his game is quite savvy. Wall's contract prohibits us from being players in free agency, so I'd be fine with giving Olynyk a two year deal so that they expire together. As an unrestricted free agent though the ball is in his court.
