    TRUE P
    Parker - GONE
    Bibby - GONE
    Nash - GONE

    PGs Left

    DFISH - Lakers
    Cassell - 23 pts, 7 asst, 4 rebs, 4 TOs

    on the other sided
    Tinsely - Pacers
Billups - Detroit or J Kidd - New Jersey

Of those left in the Big Dance
J-Kidd is the ultimate in TRUE PG Technology
and he could be eliminated tonite
While Cassell is considered all of a sudden a Pass First PG
He put up Francis like Numbers

    I find that interesting . . . :D
Why are the TRUE PGs not getting it done this season?

Do you see the correlation with the availability of a dominant big man?

Parker being the exception, but then again, I never considered Parker a true Pass-first PG.

Cassell, Fisher and Payton are still there. The Kings, Mavs, and Nets don't use the post, while the Spurs have already said that they changed their offense this year to make it more up-tempo, less inside oriented.

Still, I think Francis can co-exist with Yao under the right circumstances, with the right supporting cast.

bibby isn't really the ultimate pass first PG... looks for his shot a lot. but in any case that Sacramento team is pretty flawed.

Nash lost because his team is bad, I'm not sure he could have personally done any more.

Parker... that team doesn't have enough talent to beat the Lakers.

still all three fared better than the combo guards.

    francis, answer, marbury, davis, arenas.

why didn't they get it done? at least those three you listed got more done, if you are going to go by the playoffs as you have done. sometimes it's not in the PG's control, i'm not sure if you put these players on SA, DAL, or SAC, they would have brought them to the next level.

that correlation is what I find interestering. :D

the Rockets biggest flaw is turnovers period.
    stupid turnovers kill this team.
they killed the team all season
and they cost them the Laker series.

look where we ranked among playoff teams in turnovers

without the excessive turnovers we win the Lakers series.
    Everybody is happy.

Seems to me that there is no corelation between pass first PGs or shoot first PGs having more success. If your team has more talent you will win...period. Just add more talent and you will see how much better Francis and Yao seem to play together.

Steve not being a pure point is not really the main problem for me. It’s that the Rockets have invested so much in Steve and have not received much in return. They gave Steve a max contract and allowed him to be “the man” and go through his growing pains for 4 years.

None of the teams left did that for their point guard. Notice how easily attainable these guards are and how little their teams have invested in them.

Fisher is paid nothing and Payton is paid the MLE.

Cassell is paid Cuttino Mobley money (5.5 mil. per) and all Minnesota gave up for him was Joe Smith.

Billups was signed with the MLE.

    Tinsley is paid nothing.

Why insist on keeping Steve at any cost when these teams have proven you don't need a superstar point guard paid max money to win?

add more talent around francis and yao at the foward spot and this team would still be playing

haha, right now i'd rather have Sam I AM....and he makes less, shoots clutch, and is a better passer. If we kept him, he is the type of point that could help Yao out. Francis does nothing for Yao's development. He just teaches Yao that he doesn't have to step up because Francis will do it for him. Bad entry passes, ineffective spot shooting.....thats what you get when you keep francis in a Yao centered system

    PS.... oh and i forgot.....TURNOVERS!
