Anyone say the devil beating his wife for when it’s raining while sunny? There is only one place in the US, Missouri maybe, that uses that phrase but I think it’s hilarious.

This is a common phrase in Texas.

In my experience it is always a lighthearted expression used in jest.

My mom pronounces the days like "dee"
    Sundee
    Mondee
    Tuesdee
    Wednesdee
    Thursdee

but Friday is Friday and Saturday is Saturday unless it's Fridee night or Saturdee night.

Also window is more like "winduh" so of course we had winduh seals.

    Pilluhs for pillows.

Potato isn't Potato or po'taught'o it's just potatuh. And tomatuhs, naturally.

Also I had a friend in high school named Blake I swear to everything you hold dear she couldn't say his name she called him Blank.

My mom calls an egg timer or the buzzer on the oven a "dinger". After forty years of marriage it still baffles my dad.

When we were children my brother and I loved the word "sike." "Ok, you sike that you're Ponch & I'll sike like I'm Luke Duke."

When we were teens we made up all sorts of new terms. The only one with legs was mine, which was "meh."
