Now before you guys get all petty, just watch the following video and try to take off your Rockets coloured glasses or NBA refereeing coloured glasses and just appreciate that a guy this young, considering his journey (Greece where he dealt with racism left and right), considering the what looked like a serious injury and probably something he's playing through, having already won 2 MVPs and now on the verge of winning it all is giving you the following: That is not just talk, you can see he is sincere and while I dislike his playing style just like I did Harden's, how can you dislike this young man? Forget the style, which is something you cannot hold against him anyway. He's a player that's playing within the rules, gets rewarded for running into people like plenty of other star players are for flopping, getting into the defender, falling down etc. I was like many on here before, even before these Finals, but seeing how he's handling himself and playing after that injury, I'm glad I've come around and learning to appreciate him while he's still playing. You cannot deny what he's doing anymore, from a late game saving block to putting up 30-40 points a game in the Finals. Did we hold it against Harden for averaging a lot of FTs on his great offensive output? Just hope we can get some positive energy going for this guy who's far from an ego maniac, which the league is filled with. Please don't come in here unless you have something constructive to say, don't ruin this for people who actually want to appreciate a player. Even if you don't, just appreciate what he says in the video.
I’ve been rooting for the Suns in this series, still am, but it’s nice to see someone like Giannis be successful.
It's funny, he had that bad-looking injury. You'd think he'd be smarter. Yet there he was committing a flagrant foul on Booker with no regard for Booker's safety doing a complete dog-act which could've resulted in a horrific injury for Booker. Just adding yet another play to his dirty compilation. Yeah, think I'll pass on respecting a dirty player.
No doubt, by far, his biggest skill is his motor and work ethic. You can tell he stays in the moment by how he plays. As a coach or home team fan, that's really all you can ask for. But, I'm not either of those.
Probably in that Rudy T bag Funny how I knew people couldn't help themselves and aside from this I will just leave this thread be. So get all the hate out, maybe you feel better afterwards, that's all I can hope for. Cheers
Maybe less dislike. Appreciating, I'm not there yet. From the finals, I am surprised that an inconsistent Middleton stepped up.
The single defining play for giannis that got him this title isn’t the block, it’s stepping under Kyrie to take him out of that series.
How? He is Westbrook and LBJ's athleticism in a taller package that gives his team an advantage. Overrated means jealousy because this man is on the outlier of what those that crucify him consider the norm just because they're uncomfortable.
I doubt he was inconsistent, I think the perception was he was only a 19-20 ppg scorer and we were right. These couple years he turned into a 25 ppg player when it mattered. Nothing wrong with the past.
