Of course. They cut the tenders into smaller pieces, call them nuggets, and people come flocking in for the "new" product and proceed to beat the hell out of each other for it. Marketing! Actually, I have no idea, but all I said when I first heard about this was "do they just cut the tenders to a smaller size and call it something new?" *shrug*
Rip'n Chicken FTW. Theyre like Taco Bell in reinventing new items out the same 3 ingredients. With that said Rip'n Chicken ftw.
Lol. I've always said that about Taco Bell. "Ok, now put the tortilla on the outside..." "Ok, now put the tortilla on the inside..." "Ok, now put the beef on the outsi...wait... don't do that one... are we outta combinations? Use a hard shell and repeat!"
Worked with sliders and their ungodly markup. I'm waiting for wagyu(?) steak bites... I mean, who wants more breading with nugs?
there might ave been a time where I thought this way… but then I grew up even more and realized that’s there’s plenty of fast food that just tastes better and is way better value than fine dining. not universally of course. Your best food is still going to be something fine dining, polished casual or whatever. And lots of fast food will still be ****. there was just a point where i realized that just because something had amazing reviews and cost a ****ton… i can still think it’s meh… and btw some of those times I leave thinking “damn, I could have just had xyz” fast food and it would have been a better meal. but I guess I’ve become pretty picky about “good food” in my older older age. I’m just not impressed by fancy ingredients farm to table yada yada yada… UNLESS it tastes delicious … which sometimes it does, sometimes not.
Popeyes strips are on the expensive end of fast food. I wonder if the nuggets are Popeyes way of creating a value menu. No one would buy 2 strips but you may buy 6 nuggets.
The nuggets are (allegedly) going to be more of a consistency like their chicken sandwich than chicken strip. Their chicken strips are pretty meh.
So i tried these today. They were pretty meh. Really seemed a lot like the strips, just more chunky and shorter. I think they were a little cheaper than the strips.
