Channel 9 has learned, in the next couple of days, T-Mac is expected to announce that he will withdraw from the U.S. Olympic basketball team. McGrady is the fourth player to leave the team, but the first to do so because of security concerns in Athens.

What will happen is when the threat of terrorism becomes so great that all the major players from the NBA withdraw, Stu will then offer Steve an invitation. Pretty childish on Stu's part. He was the idiot that traded Steve. He didn't have to.
Does Stu really wield that much power? I thought there was a board made up of former NBA players and coaches who voted on who was to make it?
Stu Jackson is the head of the Olympic selection committee. Does the name ring a bell? Yes, the same Stu Jackson who drafted Steve Francis to play for the Vancouver Grizzlies back in the day. The same Stu Jackson who was told before the draft that Steve would not play in Vancouver; the same Stu Jackson who was forced to trade Francis to Houston. Think there might be some ill feelings there? Small wonder that Francis can’t get the time of day from Team USA. What goes around does eventually come around.
THIS JUST IN!! THIS JUST IN!!! Diana Taurasi to take T-MAC's place in Athens! Just kidding but you know good and well that they would pick her over Steve....well, if they wanted to get others involved they would!!
are you saying that Francis is getting his now.... or are you saying that Stu will get "his" in the end - when all the real players quit the team and Team USA gets beat
If they don't see that Francis gets up for big games, than these guys are as blind as a bat. I say screw them. Good Luck U.S.A.!!
m a strong steve supporter, but this time i would like to see him stay at home to practice his jumpshot
(Even if SF is traded) I hope he gets named to the USA team. (I am ignoring Doc's insidious insight because I am beyond dubious that SF will be tapped to participate, but I can hope the fellow gets his due.)
Steve woulf be a great representitive of the USA and of US basketball. I would ne proud to have him represent me in Athens.
