Basically u have to put up $175 to win $100. Before you had to put up $130 to win $100. Cade is -5000 now to go #1
We should draft Luke Garza. He was great!! Amazing stats and player of the year!! also Kispert should go ahead of Suggs. Better stats!! …..
It’s wild how some take this as an opportunity to tear down 19 year olds to fit a narrative. We have no idea what any of these players will be in 3 years from now much less their career. There are three guys who separated themselves and by the fortunes of luck we will likely have one of them on our team in less than two weeks, when we could have found ourselves with a pick in the late teens. Any player can be the best version of themselves. Until proven otherwise, I hope all of these guys thrive.
Neither, it’s gambling and nobody knows for sure. Gambling lines move based on the bets people are making. So when they move in that direction, it means more people are betting on Green to Rockets.
So anytime the odds decrease so -130 to -170 it means there's a greater chance of it happening. If it went from -130 to -1000 it's definitely happening.
Interesting take. If Devin Booker is best case scenario for Jalen Green - probably still not enough to win a championship with him being the leading scorer. We need a more well-rounded package that Evan Mobley will provide to be contenders.
What was the analytics for Green's overall win shares percentage? Suggs was ok and cade was not good - Mobley was awesome (despite having worse teammates than cade around him), but I can't find numbers on Green in the G League, perhaps due to small sample size?
Ayton has top 5 MVP CP3, premier guard scorer in Booker, and solid role players w/ no weak links And it sums to fraud contender. This series would be a wrap if not for 25-30 pts shooting variance game 2. On top of injuries to get here. Versatile big man aren’t that valuable I don't agree with what I just posted, but you could tweak that tweet to fit whatever narrative you want.
Mobley is *way* more versatile than Ayton. Much more of a playmaker. Also has loads better handles and can defend in space. The more a player can do, the better they are for your team. Further reinforces Mobley being the pick. If Booker could make plays outside of shooting, the Suns would've ended this in 5.
Mobley was a better defender than Ayton was in college. Suns are built around Devin Booker - not around Ayton. The take illustrates the point that well-rounded players are more valuable than just being able to score. Look how Devin got stripped of the ball by Holiday. Everybody knew the Suns were relying on him to score which made the job of defending him easier. You want a player that's well-rounded and can get everybody involved. That's why the pick should be Mobley.
I wouldnt. I'm pretty much succumbed to the idea Green will be the pick. If he is, he'll probably lead the team in scoring and win RotY. He's that good offensively. We can revisit this if I'm wrong, I just think he's one of those guys. The biggest issue is that I'm just so tired of score first guards that don't play defense and dump the ball off last second and get padded assist stats. Talking about Russ and Harden. They always have highlights and end up on SC on teams that can't get past the 2nd round. Kevin Porter and Evan Mobley both being capable playmakers would be *wild*. How do you defend that? Knowing Green can't make plays for anyone but himself and coaxing him into a bad shot would be like shooting fish in a barrel. That's what's happening to Booker right now. One dimensional stars being your best player is a recipe failure. That's what Green will be. Its why I prefer Mobley or Suggs. The most annoying part is that we'll spend years trying to figure out why he can't win at the highest level and why he doesn't have more help and why his teammates let him down....etc. I've seen this movie before.
I don't disagree that Mobley is more versatile than Ayton. I honestly think you could win a championship with Green's potential future self, Mobley's potential future self, or Cade's potential future self. But, it just feels like people say stuff just to fit their narrative all day long completely ignoring roster construction and other important details. I mean, if Durant/Harden/Irving weren't injured I'd bet hard money they'd already be champs. If Anthony Davis and Lebron weren't playing hurt or injured I could see a scenario where Suns don't even make it past the Lakers. Where do we stop saying "if this" before it perfectly fits our own narrative? Both teams in the finals are playing great and have a unique blend of players that compliments each other's deficiencies.
Mobley is so overrated on this board it's insane. I'll certainly root for him if he's the pick (and hopefully he'll make me eat my words) obviously but I will be disappointed admittedly. Green is the obvious pick here
Lol. Booker has been amazing for the Suns. I would happily trade the second pick for him and so would any team in the league that didn't already have a star SG
What’s insane are posts like this. Why is it that the posters who make the grandest assertions present the smallest amount of evidence?
