"See ya champ." I missed this post first time around. Binged the first season a couple years and have been keeping up ever since. Can't believe it's over now. That ending was very Sopranos-like and open to interpretation. Now I want some Dim Sum or Dimmies as our mates Down Under call it.
Was feeling under the weather the last two days so binged on Invincible on Amazon. Liked it overall but am not a fan of the teen romance angle. Also the music choices sound very bland and seem to be picked by committee.
It didn't bother me that there was a teenage love subplot... but the thing that pushes Amber away from Mark makes no sense when it's revealed she already knows.
Was checking to see if there was a thread for Mr Inbetween. Didn't realize season 3 was out - just started watching it.
Watched Dr. Death on Peacock, about the Dallas-based neurosurgeon that maimed or killed 30+ patients 8-9 years ago. Joshua Jackson starts with a Matthew McConaughey accent, then morphs into a George Clooney about halfway through the series. The writing gets worse as the series progresses...wouldn't pass a first year film school screenwriting class. 2/10
No thread, I have been propping this show since last year. Waiting till the season completes before I start season 3.
Ok, I forgot it is only 6 episodes. I like the main character so much I have to get my mind right to watch how it ends.
Yeah I need to rewatch it again from the beginning, so it's fresh. The end of season 1 with Davros and Dave was hilarious. Season 2 was all about Bruce for me. Still trying to process Season 3 in my head.
Finished Mr Inbetween. Great show. Finale was super tense. 26 half hour episodes total - very easy show to binge.
The Deuce on HBOMAX- 8/ 10 I knew Manhattan was an ugly place because not even Jason from Friday the 13th wanted any part of that. Little did I know it was pimp haven. If Pimpin' was easy everybody would be doing it. Basically these pimps have 3 'hoes' each brings in $400 a night. $1,200 total. Using the Morey app, I was able to figure out inflation, so they would be cashing in $8,200 a night in 2021. Oh, yeah, the show is very well acted, so much so that you don't really enjoy the sex scenes at the peep show. Lisa P is in it but she's slimmed down. Womp womp. Woodstock 99 HBO max- 10/10 Holy S*** Best documentary I've seen all year. It shows up as season 1 episode 1, don't know if it's a stand alone or a season's worth. I just clicked on it and couldn't stop watching. They had Jewel recounting the event and said she could feel something was brewing then they cut to 1999 footage and the face she made on stage was like
