Guessing it's supposed to sorta match the font on their caps. I remember when they changed it in the early 90's, my jr high brother got one of their hats and black sharpied out part of the "O" so the hat said "Sex". I noticed it one day and told him not to be a douchbag, he stopped wearing it. eta: only complaint is that they're wearing them down to the ground and it makes them look like pajamas
i think i know what it is that's bothering me. The "Southside" text is too even and flat. Not leaning or curving. Compare to their "Chicago". Look how nice this is.
A lot depends on the wrinkles formed on your fingers due to the rain. The wrinkles add surface tension for more grip and control. They act like tire treads for evolutionary advantage. Some pitchers will dip just to get the wrinkles no matter what.
