The NorthEast pronounces highway Routes like it rhymes with Out.

The rest of the country gets their kicks on 'Root' 66.

I never would have thought of "fixin to" or "and them" as a regional slang because it's just so normal for me. But when I say fixin to it's pronounced more like fixinuh.

In Australia when you want to tell someone that you're not there to mess around or waste time, you say "We're not here to **** spiders"

    Example of how to use:

"Would you lads like a beer?"

"We're not here to **** spiders!"

We have many, many, many more, but that's probably my favourite.

But Aspirin is still a generic trademark for an original Bayer product.

Used to sit across from a guy that had been working in Australia for a while, he was quite fond of using the phrase "spit the dummy".

(Meaning: Spit out the pacifier / throw a tantrum.)

Comedian Ron Pearson has a great bit about Texans and their double negatives.

"you ain't not never not done that?

pretty funny stuff - this is the only clip I could find of it.
