He felt pressure from Houston fans? LOL Imagine if he played in NY or LA. He’s right about the Harden-centric offense and system. But man is this guy soft.
Doomed the Rockets? No, they were fine. Actually it doomed Ryan Anderson. There's a reason why "switch everything" became more popular league wide after 2017 and Ryan Anderson began winding down his career. It's basically the equivalent of Dwight complaining about lack of post ups The game evolved.
Also when people talk about Anderson being soft and they all know what he was going through off the court with his family kinda feels gross and callous.
If u are a role player, your job is to adapt to the star which was harden. All this dude had to do was shoot wide open 3s and he couldn't even do that properly. Wide open shots and u can't even hit it, btch more anderson.
Anderson only averaged 10 and 5 in almost 30 mpg as a starter that year, and was still shooting terribly at home (34% from 3 and 68% from the line)…u could count on PJ’s shooting to not automatically be trash for 41 games a year, and with him in the starting lineup, our defense went from 11 to 3rd Ryno just had no place on that team…his shooting woes could be excused if he provided any value whatsoever defensively, but he was unplayable defensively with our switching scheme, and that’s the scheme we needed to run and perfect to combat GS
Rockets are winning 65 games and competing for the title, and some role player who can’t defend and was signed as a sharpshooter, but is trash for 41 home games, is crying about how he was being utilized…lol, smh…what a time to be alive
No shet he went from being considered an above average starter putting up numbers in NOLA to his career being done
Not with that pissy attitude he can't. His wife can be sideline reporter. I'm not completely devoid of charity.
He had a place on that team, all he needed to do was hit his open shots. It was actually not optimal to play Tucker almost the entire game. He was actually okay on defense and rebounding. Just not against the likes of Curry switched on him. Otherwise it was passable. Again our offense looked so much better when he could hit his shots. For whatever reason he bricked everything.
I can understand whining about being underutilized or misused if you're some star player but you were brought in at $80 million to do one thing and one thing only--create spacing by hitting 3s.
Wahh wahh wahh, people watch me play ball and I get paid beyond several lifetimes. But I'm a human with feelings too damnit. Why am I getting shitted on when I can't perform?? Thinks about quitting...nah I'll check out AND get paid! wah wahh wahhh
people just hating on ryan... check his 3pt percentages you ignorant haters! it was 40% his first year and 38% the second year or something like that... his shooting slump lasted only a few of weeks and you just made a big deal out of that because the man is rich
To be absolutely fair, Houston was a pretty damn good team with Ryno being a spot up shooter in the 2016-2017 season. Sure, they got choked against the Spurs, but they had a fair shot of going to the WCF. 2017 - 2018, this era of basketball caught up to Ryno and he became useless against the Warriors, very similar to how Capela also became useless against the Warriors for the most part. PJ/Ariza/Luc were doing a freaking great job manning the 3/4/5 positions as well with Capela playing 28-32 minutes a game. There just wasn't a real spot for Ryno, especially damn well knowing he was a sieve on the defensive end.
