It's beyond uncalled for. It's misogynistic, infantile, and reflects horribly on what is typically a very intelligent and well run board.
Love how they are not calling it for what it is, a suspension. Osuna and Taubman got a lot more backlash than this
The Molly Knight posts here are abhorrent. I dislike her slanted agenda as much as anyone here but my god...some of y’all are crazy. The fact that that Bassitt quote is nowhere to be seen by ESPN, Athletic, et al. is so telling, though.
Imagine every time you threw a slider you heard a loud banging trashcan from the opponents dugout and the batter didn't swing and you kept throwing the same pitch -- that is criminally dumb. Sorry what cheating scandal are we discussing.
The Dodgers and the MLB are trying to figure out the minimum penalty they can give Bauer without everyone going ape ****. I'm guessing he will be suspended until they get a handle on his criminal and civil issues. He won't play again this year. He's in LA and the me too movement is super strong there.
But he isn't currently suspended... he's on leave, thus he's getting paid. If there's a criminal charge filed, there is literally no reason why he shouldn't get the same sort of ban/suspension that Osuna, Chapman, and any other player has already received under similar (albeit not identical) circumstances.
