I was fine with giving Detroit their pick back in this deal, but not much more. As others have said, I'd rather stay where we are at 2....I'm fine with ponying up EG and 24 for 13. I'd rather make our 2nd pick of the first round there, or move up a little higher...say, into the top 10 somewhere.
Tell Detroit to f*** off, grow some balls and pick Green if they really want him. The Rockets are in a good place regardless.
I’d much rather have 2 and 13 then 1. I’m not sold that Cade is that dude over Mobley or Green. Not saying he isn’t but it’s all a dice roll. Give me another roll with the 13th pick.

y’all keep talking about “if the Pistons really want Green” when it’s more like the Rockets really want Cade If they’re trying this hard to move up 1 spot, is it not clear how they view the prospects in this draft?
Or a lot of this is a game of chicken? We know several things. 1. From the moment the lottery happened Green was rumored to be a dark horse to go #1 to Detroit. 2. Cade has been crowned THAT GUY for over a year. 3. Houston was linked to Green for weeks. 4. Now Houston is linked to Cade 5. Detroit has never been linked as completely sold on Cade. 6. Typically when teams are completely sold on a guy it leaks at least 10 days or so before the draft. We saw this with Zion and Ayton recently. The Wolves were shopping the pick and weren't completely sold on Edwards. In the end they stood pat. It could go either way. Maybe Detroit does want to pick Green but knows that Houston is willing to pay to move up.
