Damn Phoenix fans hating Sarver only a few years ago They paid for a billboard ! I know the majority of you are too cheap to pay for garage parking now @Os Trigonum
I don't care about other teams Tinman, I only care about the Rockets. You should become a fan of the Suns since you like their owner so much. PS: Tilfart sucks balls as an owner.
Sarver is going to be smashing all of the ASU girls at a Scottsdale bar in a few days. What a great owner! Tilman is up next.
Was thinking the same damn thing the other day. The Fertitta hate fest circle jerk is a meme at this point. No the perception that he's "the worst owner in sports" won't go away anytime soon, even if the team starts winning within a couple seasons. I get that people don't like him for his personality and concerns about nepotism, but for ****'s sake the Chris Paul trade was a gamble that didn't pay off and was done in order to try and keep Harden happy. Do people really hate Fertitta because he wouldn't pay for Ariza? Give it a few years to judge Fertitta with the current roster and management. The "lol Fertitta sucks" crew just seems so premature -- and besides all the b****ing won't remove him as owner. He isn't "worse than Dolan/Sarver", at least not yet. Just wait for when Sarver breaks up this team...
People here (not the 99ers) think Ariza was Robert Horry, but Robert Horry never went 0-12 in a playoff game
nope when it was critical of sarver, he was sending first round picks out for savings. this year, miracle behold, he spent a lot. on crowder, paul, saric, whatever he could add...and lo and behold they 'won' the owner has to enable the GM. the gm works in the confines of the owner, so if they were in their window now and sarver demanded cut cost and get rid of ariza, hes just a role player accordng to tinman and a few, then they have to do it and he can take the mike after the loss and say they need to learn to step on throats....
Watching tinman constantly flail about to defend his daddy Tilman is always a source of entertainment.
Both are insufferable though neither has gotten to Dolan or Sterling levels and I'm sure both fanbases hope they don't either. Sarver seems to be able to put together competent front office staff for the most part (the one debacle with Ryan McDonough not included) and Tilman, at least so far, seems to let Stone do his thing. Dolan went decades with hiring mediocre front office staff and Sterling....well...we all know about Donald.
You guys care more about the Owners than anyone else. I'm a real fan who cares about the team. Sarver proves the owner only matters building the fan experience, funding, and marketing. The GMs are ones who build a Clutch City or a Choke City. Who was the owner who got Dream? Exactly. You don't know.
Charlie Thomas got Steve Patterson. That's why we got 2 Rings. The foundation was set. Rudy T, Dream(resigning), Mad, Kenny, Vernon, OT, Horry, Mario, Sam.. Getting Clyde was Dawson who was employed by the Thomas regime.
Not the biggest Fertita fan, but I feel a lot of his hate is rooted in folk lore, and unwarranted emotion. The fact is Ariza wasn't that good, and certainly was not worth 15 million. He doesn't bridge the gap between Champion and really good. His calling card was a lock down defender, but he wasn't a Draymond, Bowen, Holiday... He was aging, his defense was severely overrated, he couldn't dribble a basketball, create a shot, pass...and every 3 he took was wide open off of an assist, in which he was knocking down the shots at 37%, The one thing I noticed about Clutchfans, is that a lot of people here have these weird obsessions with mediocre people, just because they attempt to defend - doesn't matter that they are atrocious on the other side.
Chris Paul's opinion is distorted after playing under Donald Sterling. He probably thinks playing under Tilman and Sarver ownership was like being treated by royalty after having to endure years under known racist Donald Sterling.
