Is that trade extremely lopsided? I figured it was very desirable to get rid of Love. Then get one of the best if not best value contracts with a few late 1st rounders. You’re probably right though.
I would never give up the 3rd overall pick to get rid of Love…the 23rd and 24th overall pick aren’t that valuable, especially for a team as bad as the Cavs, and EG has negative value If we had the 3rd pick, would u want to trade it to get rid of John Wall and get 2 picks in the 20’s and 32 yo, injury prone EG who is still owed 38 mil and Christian Wood in return? I’d be livid if we did that.
I would consider it because you get rid of that contract. And they have been awful for 5 years running. Where as the Rockets have been awful for one year. If the Rockets sucked for five years straight getting rid of Love and getting a 20/10 player and perhaps a good role player with two picks in a row. It would probably take another pick too and maybe that still wouldn’t be enough.
