Green at #2 and then at 23/24 : Ziaire Williams and Trey Murphy III. Get on the bandwagon! Kai Jones is probably going to end up going way higher than we think. I think 9 to Sacramento. Jalen Johnson won't fall past OKC at 18.
#2: Cade or Green #23/24: Depend who is available. Garuba, Kai Jones, Thor, Trey Murphy, Tre Mann, Brandon Boston
He is very hard to project. On one hand he has some amazing physical tools that will likely lead a team to take a chance on him in the first round. Teams see Paul George and Kawhi Leonard as massive upside comparisons...... on the other hand he really struggles to do very basic things like switch properly, inbound the pass and anticipate the offensive player movement...... so to me it comes down to some team believing that they can limit his decision making situations and accentuate his physical tools..... I would say there is better than a 50% chance he is out of the league by the end of his rookie deal, but there is a 10% chance he is a long term starter/all star. To some team, he is worth the risk.... He reminds me from a risk standpoint of Josh Howard, someone that had tools but a real bust potential..... some workout, some turn into Joe Alexander.
I think every raw draftee with high ceiling should go straight to the Spurs and get developed there. Once they show that they are starter material, the rest of the league can submit their highest bid/offer to the Spurs for that player's rights. Basically turning the Spurs into a developmental team for the rest of the NBA lol.

You are already drafting your sg of the future right? Thats on top of plethora of 6'5 dudes we already have on the squad... Its funny you brought up Lowry he was a franchise player the Rox sold out for a low lotto pick. In a stroke of luck that lotto turned out to be a major piece for James Harden but assuming that once in a decade deal wasnt available the Rox got screwed out of Lowry. Thats what happens when you got too many projects going on you dont get market price for your pieces. Not only that Lowry was acquired originally for Rafer Alston. The Grizz didnt realize they had a star on their hands cuz they were busy developing Mike Conley. What we can see here is going BPA blindly is fine in theory, but in reality it is hard to capitalize on trades for your haul. Smart teams dont just consider one thing they put every factor in a matrix and add weights. BPA has the most weight but in the even prospects are in the same "tier" bpa wise they will consider fit, chemistry, position, need etc
The consensus for those mock draft samples by a slim margin: #2 Jalen Green #23 & 24 Sharife Cooper & Jaden Springer
Although I'm happy with the 24th pick, I'm flirting with the idea of offering it to our new trading partner the Brooklyn Nets for the 27th and the 44th pick. All comments and suggestions are welcome.
Depends whose there at 24. If a guy you had rated above 24 is there you keep the pick and take him. If not, trade back.
If at least 3 of the players you want are there at 24 are on the board, I'll do it BUT I don't want too many rookies on this yrs roster, unless you're planning on taking a couple of players to stash overseas.
IDK why but your comment started making me think Stone could take Suggs. The best team we've had in the past 20 years featured two capable ball handlers in the backcourt in Harden and Paul and putting Suggs back there with KPJ wouldn't be THAT ludicrous...would it? I'm by no means saying KPJ and Suggs are on Harden and Paul's level right now but having a feisty point guard that has a good (and still developing) spot up shot would be beneficial for KPJ.
Sharife would piss KPJ off. He needs the ball in his hands 98% of the time as he controls the pace. He's a talented passer but his shooting is suspect with weird mechanics.
Yeah, don’t think he’s there at 23/24 but I see a lot of people pining for him in trade up scenarios. I just don’t want anymore short guards.
