It's more about the Republicans allowing him to be relevant more than anything. They had the power to impeach him and remove him from being able to run again, and they CHOSE not to do so. Only a handful of Senators who are going to get primaried anyways (see even Abbott getting primaried) could have shut him out but they decided to allow him to dominate the party.

I have all kinds of beef with the MSM (See Chuck Todd) but I mean they sort of have to cover the undisputed Cleric/Supreme Leader of the party that is in opposition to Democracy actively attempting to take power. Os Trig only has the Republicans in the Senate to blame for Trump still being in the news. Trust me... do Democrats wants to hear the name Trump ever again if they don't have to? Of course not. It's not like we all subscribed to his blog or whatever he launched was in order to hate watch him.

 

Its more that the republican party wants it to be the party of donald trump. Despite losing in 2020, and losing the Senate in the process, the republican party has chosen donald trump as their leading voice. And agree with the previous poster, Democrats should run against trump and their republican competitor.
