I'll be shocked if Brantley plays both days this weekend. And honestly, with his history and the fact he is going to play (or at least go) in the ASG, I wouldn't be too upset with him sitting one
You can still get covid even if vaccinated, but that's not the point. The health and safetyl protocol list doesn't mean he has Covid. Raley also went on the list earlier in the week, so if Correa is feeling sick I'm sure they're just being careful
Initially I hated when Dusty did this. But now I'm a huge fan. He understands July/Aug/Sep games are meaningless. Spurs of the 2000's did this all the time. Players need to rest up for October. He's a player's manager for sure. +1 for Dusty
I'm sure the resting comes from the front office. He just dictates who plays when those players rest.
It's not that he rests players as there's nothing wrong with that and he should be doing that. The problem with Dusty is he doesn't stagger the days off. One player off today another one the next day. He'll have a couple core guys off on the same day which makes no sense.
The lineup is made up of core guys. When you have 7 good dudes and you have to rest 2 of them, then you are going to have 2 guys good hitter out especially when we have a core guy out because of injury.
This isn't that difficult. Instead of giving Altuve the day off one day and Tucker the day off the next day (stagger the days) Dusty will sit both Altuve and Tucker the same day.
Dusty is a terrible manager. That's why he's never won a WS and why I fear that we might not get another until he's gone
