For sure keep an eye for the copa america final. Possibly the best chance messi has left at winning a senior tournament with argentina. The exchange the argentina's keeper had with the colombian players was pretty funny. he even got one pump in lmao
He isn't even the best English keeper imo. He is decent- good but yeah, def not elite. Kasper is obviously elite but I feel like he gets left out of these conversations. People mention Neuer(understandably) Ter Stegen, Alisson, Ederson, Donnarumma, I might be forgetting some others...but I think Kasper is and has been at the worst a top five keeper for several years.
Martinez was hilarious in the penalties. The trash talking was fun to watch. So either Messi or Neymar wins their first Copa America on Saturday. Should've been in Argentina or elsewhere but Conmebol smh. So imagine if Argentina beat Brazil...at the Maracana.. On another note, how crazy is it that Argentina haven't won the Copa America SINCE 1993!!!! Can you believe Crespo, Veron, Zanetti, Riquelme, Gallardo, Aimar, Saviola, none of them won a Copa America? Crazy
I could live with that, his dad was a tier above him though. Stronger on the line and rushing out. You'd take Manchester United legend over Leicester City legend. @Keepers Dean Henderson and Nick Pope are out due injury I think. Tom Heaton has not played much. Jack Butland?
While this Euro has been somewhat entertaining, it rally lacks any elite teams playing on a different level. What we had was a bunch of mediocre teams duking it out. Entertaining but not impressive.
Well, difference is... all the countries you mentioned won more than one trophy in their long history.
Feel like England is the most difficult matchup for Italy, mainly the agile attackers vs Bonucci and Chiellini. Also Maguire as an aerial threat on set pieces vs the smaller Italian defense.
These euros were ok. Not 04 bad but not all that memorable.. although 04 is pretty memorable because greece winning was such a mind****. you guys remember their keeper looking like he was 50? 2011 copa america was the ultimate mind**** tho. if i remember correctly paraguay got to the final without ever actually winning a game. all draws in group play and 0-0 draws into pks to get to the final wtf
If England loses, I feel it's going to be because of Pickford. He's just not good. So erratic and so many stupid mistakes. I am concerned about Italy's speed and counterattacking ability vs Maguire (who has been fantastic thus far) and Stones. I worry if Maguire makes a run forward, Italy is going to expose the hole. Rice has been good with the exception of the semi. He was giving balls away constantly and just seemed to be out of sorts. Hopefully he pulls it together. I'm not sure why Southgate started Saka over Sancho but hopefully he corrects that on Sunday. I really want England to win this but I feel like this Italy is a near perfect counter to their style.
