It seems like alot of members on this board have swayed their opinions on Mo Taylor ever since the Rockets landed Eddie Griffin. Its as if Griffin is the answer to all of our rebounding problems. I dont buy it. Dont get me wrong, I was freaking out like everyone else when we pulled off the trade. However, it seems as though we are all expecting instant gratification from Griffin, a 19 year old with 1 year of college experience. I think that he will provide us with some help, but not the rebounding PF that we so desprately covet. On top of that, everyone is making out Mo Taylor to be the best thing at PF since the George Foreman Grill (when many on this board wanted his ass out of town). Sure he is a great scoring option, but at PF he needs to grab a board or two. I still think that we need a bigger, better rebounding option. ------------------ I stole your money and I did your daughter at Texas A&M University

The year before Mo came to us he avg'd 6.5 boards a game so I don't think its a stretch to say he can get 7 a game. I do believe that Eddie will be a 10+ rebounder a game man before his career is over. Throw in Francis and Mobely the best rebounding back court in the league and we are not looking so bad. I do agree with you that we need at least one more rebounder that can get us close to 10 a night and that person should be whoever occupies the 5 spot. ------------------
Right now Eddie is god(small g). He can part the sea, vanquish (maybe even smite) our enemies. Nothing can dull the glow of this windfall of windfalls, until camp, when all gods must return to earth. Some saddly, with feet of clay. We will find imperfection, with any basketball god, in due course. This is the time for hope and dreams and it feels so good. Enjoy it! Revel in it! Two things I keep thinking about. 1. A topic on this board (I believe it was) " Eddie "Goddam" Griffin". To wich, all I can say is Ohh Yes. 2. What can happen when a new talent is added, that fits, like Sam Cassel did? Players can make each other better. Lets see what he can do, before we stuff him into our rebounding savior box. He might be that and more. That's what is so great about now.
