Last Samurai...rocks. I highly recommend (and I don't care for Cruise as an actor, but he's worthy in this).

I can't wait for Northern Exposure, Season 1 later this month.

I've never seen it (never even heard of it) but I like Whedon.

    Is it still on TV?

    Cohen,

No it was cancelled after 11 episodes....they did 14 episodes.

The DVD has been such a huge seller that they are doing a movie now.

I can not tell you how good this series is....the actors are great and the story telling rich.

14 episodes in all, and I mourned when I finished it.

    Get it, you will see.

I loaned it to one of my employees, he watched 3 last night then took a personal day today to watch all the rest....they are that good.

personally for me the transformers seasons 1-4 box sets were a great purchase.

also the extended version of lotr.

last samurai was also a great film

cant forget the kill bill volume 1 unrated dvd i had to order from japan that was good buy makes watching the movie a lot better than the us version.

sorta looking forward to rent the underworld unrated dvd that comes out next week the movie was pretty entertaining.

in general i enjoy extended/unrated versions of movies they generally add to the story (not all though, the unrated american pie type movies suck htey just add in something lame)

the dances of wolves dvd i bought with a whole freakin hour added was a good purchase too

The corporate goons that are keeping Twin Peaks season 2 off of DVD must pay.

It's a complicated situation between Artisan and whoever owns the rights to the show(I believe it's Paramount).

I just bought the complete first season of Curb YOur Enthusiasm and still haven't had time to watch it.

Now I'm debating whether I should open it or not. It was my first "impulse" buy and now I'm not sure I should've bought it, especially for its $40 price tag. Someone give me reassurance saying it was a good purchase.

It's a great show. Open it and watch it. And then get Season 2 next month and watch that.

Just out of curiosity, what store charged you 40 bucks for that box set? I got mine for around $26 from Amazon with Share the Love.
