Yep. AR's with 223 bullets are ineffective, so lets give all the soldier AR's with 223. Give everyone .50 bmg's

Enjoyed it a lot more than I expected based on this thread. There was some good intentional humor, the aliens were legit menacing.

Best part might be the red belly alien tagging the scientist and saying "Gotcha b****!" before slinking away from the camera.

Helicopter blades wreck them. They're highly flammable.

But lets give them guns with mostly useless ammo and never tell the draftees to aim for the neck and bellies. That level of intel is above their paygrade.

The war was led by carnies.

    Game over man. Game over.

Entertaining but they want you to really throw logic out the window to make the plot work. Edge of Tomorrow is a thousand times better.

The daughter character making the dad feel like **** and not reciprocating his love was really odd. The plot doesn’t really justify it. The movie took so many other good movies and mashed them into whatever this is, which is enjoyable for a blockbuster I guess but nothing compared to Edge of Tomorrow or Tenet or whatever else it took from.

How is it that edge of tomorrow doesn’t have a sequel? It doesn’t need one but everything else gets one. That’s a fantastic movie and if you’re in this thread and haven’t seen it, watch that first.

The main thing I took from this movie (and also Handmaid's Tale which my wife and I watch) is that the actress that plays the daughter character (Muri) would have been an acceptable subsitute to play Cersei Lannister had Lena Heady not been available.

I haven't seen the movie but might check it out if I have time to waste. Saw that Yvonne Strahovski is in it and am always in for watching her.

Costs too much. They can't risk that kind of cash until the industry improves. That's the only thing holding it back. But I am almost 100% sure you will see it someday.

It was entertaining and overall I liked it.

The part I liked least was when
the final fight became a fist fight . Also seemed like the backup plan of blow the ship should have just been the original plan, but guess that would have negated like three fourths of the plot.

Future people were too stupid to realize they were already on Earth. Only the heroes wife had the smartz.

Just watched it. Completely enjoyable summer action movie.

I will say that the aliens in this one reminded me of Alien. These looked more like animals from another planet that were just deadly rather than Predator or ID4 where the aliens had technology that would make sense with anyone being able to get to Earth.
