Wait....who is this thread about? Sorry, I just can't stop thinking about Day'Ron Sharpes 3 pt. shot. From that video alone I'd say he's at about 34-35% from deep. That's huge coming from someone who rarely shot them in college.

Yea... I don’t know if Cade Cunningham is a lottery selection guys. We all know jumbo point guards don’t win. Just look at Ben Simmons who can’t even stay on the floor in the playoffs. Luka Doncic can’t even get out of the first round! Any kind of statistics are irrelevant and any difference in skill doesn’t matter because I choose to see the world in the most generalized parameters possible and jumbo point guards don’t win. Am I smart now?

Sengun is a good player. If he was stronger and far more athletic with bounce, he might have been in the conversation in the top 4.

I dont see Green being switchable OR a great passer. Perhaps one day.

But Mobley is already high IQ big, quick footed rim protector and much more defensively.

That said, Green should be at least Lavine level scorer in time.

I have him between 12-19. I wouldn't trade up for him.

    It's a new era.

Luka gets a pass on defense cuz he is a wing, wing defenders are plentiful in the NBA you can easily hide a weak defensive wing or guard I mean Harden didnt play any defense and they were a hamstring away from beating a team with 4 all stars on the squad. OTH a weak defensive center is a desth sentence doesnt matter how good you are on offense you arent going anywhere. KaT, CWood even Jokic are all amazing offensive machines but they all suck I mean Nuggs have so much young talent but cant seem to go past 2nd round while KaT and CWood headline 2 of the worst teams in the league. I dont know enough about this prospect but its not enough he has good positioning moving laterally is a must if you wanna achieve anything. Almost every team has multiple all purpose wings on the squad these guys are gonna make Sengun pay if he cant move side to side.

To me if you are gonna invest in a center he better be able to switch on the perimeter. Ayton is not some slow trundling dude otherwise Clippers would've brought out Mann on center like they did with Gobert. Ayton prob not quick enough for pgs but he can keep up with wings and not get put on skates and that's enough. I mean Gobert's bball IQ is thru the roof he understands positioning really well but it didnt help him keep up with Mann on the perimeter. If this Sengun dude gonna get exposed by vet mins I'd rather not waste any time and resources on him no matter how skilled he is offensively. Its just gonna be a trap you gonna develop him, pay him a lot of money then a vet min gonna make him sit on the bench lmao.

Thats why Mobley is sought after and why he is no 2 on most mocks despite Sengun being the 2nd coming of Sabonis.

Gobert gets exposed by small ball because he doesn't have any offensive ability to take advantage of smaller defenders. The reason why teams don't go small vs guys like Jokic, Embiid isn't because they are such great perimeter defenders, but because whatever advantage you get from going small you lose by 10 fold on the other end when they eat you alive in the post.

In comes quite possibly the best low post scoring prospect in the last 5-10 years in Alperen Sengun. If you want to go small vs him be my guest he will destroy you.

He's clearly highly skilled, but what would we be trading? Packaging the 23/24 to move into the late teens? The problem is we need so much help everywhere it would hurt to give up a first rounder to move up.

If we get #7 from GSW from a hypothetical Wood trade, then I'd grab Alperan there. He seems to just have an innate feel to the game playing at 18 in one of the toughest leagues.

Jalen Johnson is a true point forward like Cade - his vision, ball handling, passing and even shooting are more developed than AG.

But AG is actually more explosive and has better intangibles (passion, motor, leadership, IQ, teamwork, consistency of play) plus willingness to grind on defense.

Jalen Johnson has more upside IMO because his skills are so much more advanced.

And when focused I think he will be better defender than AG, already more disruptive.

I would definitely grab Isaiah Jackson at all costs at 23 or 24.

I've heard 'draft experts' mock him in the top 5. Someone will fall in love with him and take him EARLY.

Perhaps yes. It's also possible that this part of a smokescreen.
