Trump has been in bankruptcies for what seems like an eternity. Having said that, it’s pretty clear there are some people in this thread that really have no clue about tax filings, deductions and overall tax codes. Primarily when it comes to business taxes.

And to those referencing “international” or whatever to prove your knowledge, those laws don’t supersede a countries (or state for that matter) law on taxes.

Ivanka paid the taxes. Taxes weren't avoided. The issue in Ivanka 's situation is whether someone is a consultant vs employee and a company avoiding things like unemployment insurance.

the trump co withheld payroll taxes from her paychecks, and issued her a form W-2 at the end of the year.

contrast that w the accounting for the bonus payments that she had received from the co,

they were recorded as consultant expenses and, therefore, no Payroll taxes were withheld.​

So Trump paid for his CFO's kids school and he had a company car but didn't report it as compensation.
Seems like a small IRS issue and not something the Attorney General of New York should be pursuing.
