Sorry to start a new thread, but that last thread title sucked.

My friend's 10 year old started peeing blood earlier this month. Doctors found cancer in the kidney, thyroid, etc. 5 places. Did some port-a cath that I'd never heard of and did his biopsy on Friday. She just got the biopsy results in today. Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. Doctor gave him a 1% chance of survival which I think is really F%^&ed up. He's at TMC. I told her to try MDA, and she's already doing that and another hospital in Dallas.

Anyone knowing a hook-up to the Astros would be great. He's a huge fan.

And another HUGE favor would be for all of you to follow his sisters podcast. If she gets 50 followers she can get sponsors. Would really be grateful. You don't even have to listen to the podcast. She just needs the followers and we all know how easy that is.

Fill this out of you haven't already...

When done, PM me his name and the chapter he was referred to. I MAY be able to expedite things. No promises, but I'll try.

You can contact Julia Morales (Astros sideline reporter) via twitter or facebook and she'll put you in touch with the relevant Astros people.

You can try contacting the Astros Foundation directly: foundation@astros.com

eta: There's also the Sunshine Kids, the organization that Biggio was/is heavily involved in

    https://www.sunshinekids.org/contactus.html

He got special approval from MLB to wear their emblem on his hat throughout his career, which I always thought was very cool, they tried to make him stop in '07 and fans went apesh!t so they said "nah, you can keep doing it"

Sent them a message. Make a wish honestly seems like it would take too long and he'd want an Astros event anyway.
    Thanks!

From his mom a couple hours ago on FB.

    PRAYER WARRIORS NEEDED EVERYWHERE.
[IMG] GRAB TISSUES if you are sensitive to children in cancer. Honestly I’m not sure how I’m making this post right now but I know a lot of people are praying for him and I need the continuous prayers.
So, if you’ve been following me for the last two weeks YOU will know that William has been diagnosed with cancer. Friday he went in for surgery and had a biopsy done of his left kidney. What was to take 7 to 14 days to come back from pathology came back in four days. Today we went to the oncologist and after processing it I’m ready to let all of you prayer warriors know what’s going on.

My beautiful bouncing loving caring compassionate 10-year-old little boy named William has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and the cancer type is Renal Cell Carcinoma.

Renal cell carcinoma is an adult cancer that you would find normally in 50 to 70-year-old adults. However William is 0.5% of children who get diagnosed with this. This being said when I asked the oncologist again today can you tell me where all it is her response was can I tell you where it’s not. As a mother my heart just absolutely sank.

GAME PLAN: after speaking with the oncologist it is a requirement of hers for us to seek out a second opinion which we are going to MD Anderson next week however in the meantime we will be getting a bone scan, and a brain scan next week once we meet with MD Anderson next week and see if they agree with the treatment plan then William will start chemotherapy within 7 to 10 days. He will be taking chemo therapy through IV as well as an oral pill twice a day. The prognosis is undefined and all I can do is hold hope and it has been told to us that he is probably had this for less than 6 months.
I know many of you have reached out to me via messenger text message and or just here on Facebook asking what can you do how can you help at this point I am unsure because I’m still in shock I know it’s going to come a point of time that I will need help and when I do I’ll reach out. It is at this time that I’m going to turn my focus to William and I am going to turn over updates to a very good friend of mine who is an editor and publisher of a magazine as this is become a lot for me to do emotionally mentally and physically.

Absolutely no parent ever want their child to be sick especially with a six letter word CANCER. I would give anything to give William my body and take his so I can take the suffering the pain and the hurt the sticks the illness that is going to come along with chemotherapy. And I would rock a hell of a bald hairdo that’s for sure.[IMG]

So this time I’ll pray that the warriors and or churches affiliations with your own self I ask that you lift my son William P up in prayer and give him to God and pray that the medicine, the doctors, the staff, medication and all that’s involved in curing cancer will have the strength and knowledge and the ability to heal his little body and ask him for the biggest miracle of my life and his.
Please do not judge my grammar as I am speaking this by Siri because I don’t have just the energy in my fingers to type this out so I’m just speaking straight from my heart.
Below are two pictures taken today as we were on our way to the oncologist and once we got there. If you knew my son you could look at his face and you could say he just doesn’t feel well at all.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ARE PRAYERS!

If you wanted to go straight to the Astros source, and I'm dead serious but I don't have facebook or twitter, definitely try the Julia Morales route. She is incredibly responsive to fans on twitter, that's a huge part of her job. I would be shocked if she didn't help point you in the right direction at least.
